Hey everyone, I like to swim a lot, and lately I’ve discovered the fun of communal locker rooms and communal showers (when they are not mixed).

I’ve been looking at the « Hostels with communal showers » thread and I wondered if some of you had advices of the same kind for public swimming pools ! Which ones are interesting, in which citie… For example I wanted to travel to Berlin and/or Prague this year : what are the interesting public swimming pools, if any!

Of course I’m interested in knowing if the swimming experience is good as well…

Maybe this type of thread already exists, if so, sorry!!

Berlin public swimming pools I have visited -

Indoor pools -
Stadtbad Neukolln, Stadtbad Charlottenburg, Schwimmhalle Fischerinsel, Schwimmhalle Ernst-Thälmann-Park.

Outdoor summer pools -
Sommerbad Neukölln, Sommerbad Kreuzberg, Sommerbad Humboldthain.

All of these had communal showers, so lots of opportunities to see naked men.

In Paris for example, a lot of guys go to the Suzanne Berlioux or Roger Le Gall swimming pools because they have non mixed locker rooms. There are some cubicles but a lot of men are changing directly in the room. The showers are communal (mandatory swimsuits, of course), and you can make some encounters, or at least watch someone that makes you understand they like to be watched…

Why not go to a naturist swim. You can look, but it is non-sexual experience. I much prefer swimming sans slip de bain.

Lots of watching, some guys are clearly interested.
Everyone showers naked in the Berlin pools.
Yes, I have been to the two Paris pools you mentioned, and I noticed the same things you did.

I always assumed that showering naked in male only communal showers in France was normal.

In my experience, showering naked is usually forbidden in France even in male only showers !

Why not go to a naturist swim. You can look, but it is non-sexual experience. I much prefer swimming sans slip de bain.

I am not sure to be interested in naturism! I don’t know if I’m into showing everyone, haha! Maybe I’m a little bit picky

Like everything first time is the most difficult once you have done it one time, it'll be no more a problem Nothing better than feeling of air and free move when you are naked !

Well, you can take a hose to water, but you cannot make it drink. I respect your decision and nobody is going to force you. All I would add it that I would reiterate what vincegre has said and that I have read stories of sceptical of naturism stating that they wish they had started earlier and regret that they didn't experience it earlier.

I have heard and seen this almost verbatim from hundreds of people who enjoy a naturist beach or resort for the first time. It is always "I wish I had tried this sooner!" So much opportunity wasted.

Thank you for reinforcing my comments. It is indeed another individuals wasted opportunity if they do not try when they have the opportunity. We do not get the time back. If only people would just try naturism just once and find out for themselves what it is like. For me, and others, it is so liberating. The more who try naturism, and particularly the young, the better. I certainly have no regrets what so ever.

J'ne connais point les piscines de ses villes, mais j'ai visité Prague en Oct '23. Ville merveilleuse!

Separate open showers
Some has mixed changing area
Podolí Is the largest and well known for show off
I can recommend Šutka - full of locals and
Letňany Lagoon - small but cosy also has a small Gym and sauna

If only people would just try naturism just once and find out for themselves what it is like. For me, and others, it is so liberating. The more who try naturism, and particularly the young, the better. I certainly have no regrets what so ever.

Once I tried naturism I didn’t look back. You can’t beat 3 weeks nude camping right by a nude beach allowing you to be naked 24/7 for days on end

What I do not like is those that turn there nose up and have never tried. It just takes a little courage and then once done, they wonder what all the fuss was about. Please PM me and we can dicuss further. Planning camping/ walking in UK and maybe abroad with naturist opportunities.

I’ve lots of stories to tell about naturism - some pure naturism and other horny naturism with sex, invariably lots of nude men together lead to one thing ….

Some people are uptight and nudity freaks them out. Everyone’s body is different, big cocks small cocks huge tits etc etc … just embrace nudity and the freedom it brings. I’d live naked if I could!

Thank you for this. I’m planning to visit Prague in the early fall, weather would be appropriate for swimming. What day of week and time of day would you say they are the busiest. I know that communal showers the norm in The Czech Republic, would love to see how naturals do it.

You are welcome! Generaly the busiest days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday and of course days on bank holidays 9/28, 10/28, 11/17(not early fall at all ).
Communal shower are the norm in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Sweden, Germany...
