Racism in the LGBT community.

Speaking of which, out of boredom I've been stalking online this group of acquaintances i have and I've noticed the only poc person they had doesn't show up in group pictures anymore and this isn't the first time I see it, always wondered what ends up happening.

Gotta add, they even went to several holidays with him and I haven't seen him in a while.

Do you say these things on purpose with intent to try and bring up different points of views ? Or do you truly think this way? I’m curious.
My post was relevant to the response given to me. So, to answer your questions: 1) I'm not a frivolous person so everything I say and do is with purpose and intent; 2) I believe bringing up different points of view is important to meaningful discussion when those points of view are in context (which was the case when the respondent tried to modify my answer with a suppression of judgment in which I do not believe); 3) I'm in the habit of exercising an independent mind and expressing that mind openly. I appreciate your curiosity and hope it has been satisfied.

So we are now dangerous animals? Lol
I mean I know I am, but I'm sure the others wouldn't like to be called that.

Way to go man.
Surely you understand the concept of analogy to illustrate a point versus literal interpretation. I know you must be smarter than to reflexively default to banal defensiveness.

Here's another analogy for you. A woman with her baby on a sidewalk notices a man following her, alarming her protective, maternal instincts, causing her to cross the street until the man passes. She exercised judgment in a very common way, not bothering to find out whether her instincts were correct or flawed. So, to be clear for you, because you take these things literally, I am not calling you a mother; however, you did call yourself a "dangerous animal" so perhaps the woman was, indeed, correct.

Two Follow up questions , your white ? are you like a teacher or professor ? ( that is a very Personal question but I got a feeling to ask)

If one's response to my question is "layered" then that person is impossibly confused or a pseudo-intellect. My own response is simple, clear and free of layers: under-appreciating a culture is not racist and no one has to satisfy anyone's personal standard of what constitutes "under-appreciation."

I'll explain by example because I'm not sure you still get it.

People tell me I under-appreciate broccoli as a vegetable because I don't eat broccoli. Nutritionists tell me broccoli has many health benefits. Friends tell me it is delicious if I get used to it over time. My mother told me it was fun to eat because I could pretend to be a dinosaur eating little trees. I don't care. I do not apply their standards of appreciation to broccoli. I apply my own standards to broccoli and, as a result, I don't eat broccoli.
This Kat is truly comical! o_O He’s missing the point of what we minorities are discussing here on this blog. He obviously doesn’t understand our American history, nor his either? He’s entitled to his opinions, just like everyone else. Just try to understand what vegetables have to do with our heritage?

Plus historically, thru decades of hatred towards us, we still face some form of racism everyday… Don’t waste your time on a never ending Merry-Go-Round trying to justify to him anything with this Kat.

frankie gets a lot of hate on here for trolling and what not. but i don't see it as just that. to me, he simply proposes a different perspective. and I'm not trying to say whether his perspective is right or wrong. but he simply says "well maybe here's how the other side sees things."

he's not saying that the minorities are wrong for feelings how they do. he's just saying "okay so maybe here's how the other side feels." so is that wrong?

i came across this meme last week.

and i laughed bc I legit do this and have done this for years (if even in a "ha-ha" sense.) no matter what the scenario is, i paint it as racist in my head. and then i started reading the comments (here) and i got super pissed like "You guys are tone deaf and just don't understand how it feels for us!!" But if we're not willing to do the same for them, then ... where does that get us?

Reminds me of the white people who I know who (keyword) try to compliment you and end up making it worse, or say the first shit it comes to their mind.
When you said this, Julia Louis Dreyfuss' character as Jonah Hill's mom in the movie "You People" was the first thing I thought about!
Why?
I don't know.
But her character was definitely a true Karen, in every sense of the word.
Every compliment she gave Lauren London's character just got worse and worse, as the movie progressed.
However, I did give Julia a few points by the end, since the surprise at the end left me shook and clutching my nonexistent pearls.

You are honestly one of the most incoherent thinkers I’ve ever encountered. Not only do you have delusions about your own anatomy, but you seem to teeter a fence between being “offended” by racial discussions & generalizations, yet embracing their sentiment.

a true Karen, in every sense of the word.

Please excuse me if I misunderstood your post, but this is absolutely a racist term (as well as sexist), but is almost always tolerated and dismissed as meaningless and worse yet, comical.

I was speaking in regards to the movie "You People" (which is literally based around racist microaggressions and stereotypes projected onto a son and daughter of 2 couples in the movie).
Julia Louis Dreyfuss' character's (I forgot her character's name in the film) behavior in the film - which is a fictional movie - was extremely racist, which is why I used the terminology "Karen".
If you watch the film, you'll know exactly what I'm referring to.
Too many microaggressions, disguised as "comedy" - but the movie as a whole wasn't humorous.
Eddie Murphy's made much better films (Jonah Hill as well).

Yeah, keep doubling down and whatever the hell you are trying to say and i understand perfectly what you mean even though english is not my first language, what i don't like is your complete lack of tact, not to mention having to keep reminding everyone how intelligent you are, pal if you have to, maybe you aren't.

Some of your comments come as insensitive but it's pretty clear you don't give a fuck, so i I'm not gonna give a fuck either regarding you either.

I have no interest in watching this film nor the trailer. My point was essentially that the term “Karen” should be no more acceptable than a hypothetical term like “Sharonda” for example. Both would be asinine, crude stereotypes for women behaving distastefully in public, but only one would be widely condemned for its use…

My question is why a person from Italy would worry about a term that it's mostly used in the US, like how does that affects you?

Also much like in real life, somehow white women came front and center regarding LGBTQ+ and racism topics.

Funnily enough, i feel like I'm starting to be more appreciated now (I don't really care anymore, cause that shit is dumb as hell) than before, mainly because my white peers near or over 30 are starting to age like milk, dude I knew was gorgeous at 25/26, and in 2/3 years has aged like 9 all of a sudden and this isn't the first time I see it happening.
Ooop

I think it shows how subjective this whole conversation is. Even though we often speak on this topic in an objective manner. That's not accurate. Things like bigotry, racism, homophobia etc. are totally based on how you perceive the world, your politics etc. moreso than any actual direct objective harm or "hate" . Outside of very obvious cases anyway.

Do y’all think that people who are seen as unattractive have more experiences with racism ? Do you guys think being attractive makes you more likely to have less experiences with racism?
