I thought the show is popular?
Season 5 was supposed to start in January. This month makes a year since the season 4 finale. It seems networks are placing big budgets over popularity. That includes the actors pay checks, practical effects etc... Shows with huge followings are given the boot

Considering it was announced Grey's is undergoing budget cuts and seeking to shrink their cast starting with getting rid of the only gay male character they've had as a lead I wouldn't count on ABC saving another expensive show.

Season 5 is coming in September.

Lone Star is returning in September for a 5th season, but it might be its last. It's not confirmed yet, but considering that Fox cancelled 9-1-1 and it was doing better ratings-wise, I wouldn't be surprised if they cancel Lone Star too. I hope it gets picked up by ABC if that happens.

It's still too early to say anything. 9-1-1 was cancelled primarily due to cost for the cast, but Lone Star is generally not as bad in that regard.

I will become a problem when contracts have to renegotiated.

I can't imagine huge TV stars like Rob Lowe and Gina Torres being that cheap. And it's not like they can be easily replaced. Liv Tyler was easily replaceable because she's not that good of an actress and her character was pretty boring (especially after she found her sister).

So it wasn't "always was"
Obviously not Einstein, but the way you came in here insinuating that it was pushed back from January (assuming it would start then based upon prior seasons that had aired) was a false move on your part because the writers strike happened and pushed ALL of the tv world back. You also claimed it was likely to be cancelled prior to all of that, so you’re making baseless assumptions simply because it hasn’t aired yet when FOX has a plan for it’s network and Lone Star is now airing later to fit within those plans.

Rob and Gina are probably cheaper than Angela.

But I do imagine Rob is probably the most expensive part of the show. That said, they could choose to reduce his screen time or even get rid of him. The show might survive (or possibly improve) without him.

They sort of set that up back in Season 3. And Rob seems quite busy now with Unstable as well as his game show.

They SHOULD reduce his screentime to focus on the other characters more.

There shall be no Liv Tyler slander in this thread. She was too good for this lil show

Is your reading comprehension below average? I didn't insinuate anything. The show was to premiere in January as it always have. Strike or not - the date was missed. period. That's a fact. I don't even know what you're talking about that I claimed anything. Get help.
