Definitely you have not figured him out
he only has a highschool degree, and he barely knows how to cook. his food experimentation videos are no different than the stuff people make on tik tok, most of what he does comes from tik tok. there's 0 indication that he has any formal training as a chef, and he's most definitely not a scientist of any sort. he just films himself trying recipes he finds online. plenty of youtube channels like that. i watch a youtube who used to work for disney and then quit because he his channel about food history was doing well. he's not a chef, he's not a historian, just a guy that was able to monetize his hobby. raphael is no different
That's like saying a news reporter is an expert in law when talking about a murder just because they're reading off the script. He does some research when working on his videos, doesn't make him a scientist. He finished highschool and then moved to the uk after turning 18 and became a youtuberI dont know about all that. He seems to use a lot of food science language that pedestrians wouldnt know.

Well, I just started watching him. My family has been in the food biz a LONG LONG time and some of the verbiage is very specific to food science. And theres a few websites that list him as a CHEF and the fact that he begs American food companies to hire him, just gave me that impression.
BTW heres a video where he gets shot in the butt with a salt gun. Its got nothing to do with what i just posted tho
Is the ghost face makeup his thing?
100% he’s just a YouTuber. I don’t know how long u followed him but originally his content was nothing related to food. Then as he introduced it he got a lot more attention so he just focused on that because it brought in views.he only has a highschool degree, and he barely knows how to cook. his food experimentation videos are no different than the stuff people make on tik tok, most of what he does comes from tik tok. there's 0 indication that he has any formal training as a chef, and he's most definitely not a scientist of any sort. he just films himself trying recipes he finds online. plenty of youtube channels like that. i watch a youtube who used to work for disney and then quit because he his channel about food history was doing well. he's not a chef, he's not a historian, just a guy that was able to monetize his hobby. raphael is no different
he had a cook book back when every youtuber was getting ghost writer book deals from penguin. that lady who invented the pink sauce also called herself a chef, but she had 0 formal training, she was just a cook for catering. the chef thing is probably something that came from him having a food related book. that'd be like saying dan and phil and authors because they've released like 5 books, despite them being mostly full of pics iirc.Well, I just started watching him. yeah, he was just like any other vlogger. just doing whatever for videos, lots of challenges too. he used to do videos with british youtubers up until a friend of his was exposed for being a rapist and all their friends dropped him but raphael chose to defend him, after that, it seems like all the other brits he used to hang out and make videos with cut him off. food related content always gets tons of views, same with gadgets. he realized how well that content did and just kept doing it. all it'd take is for him to make a video on a completely different subject and it doing well that he'd immediately pivot to that. if a type of video does well, he makes it into a series, if not, that video is it.100% he’s just a YouTuber. If he wanted to work in the field it’s not hard to get a job in it. He wants to only work in producing content very read into it anymore than that

if he was a chef, he'd already be working as one. even if he wasn't working in a kitchen, he'd likely have been invited as a contestant in one of the bajillion chef competitions there seems to be.
knowing food lingo doesn't make someone a chef. foodies know food lingo as well, and some of them can't even cook, they just eat out all the time. people who are obsessed with true crime often have 0 background in forensics, criminal law, law enforcement, but from their interest in true crime, they learn a lot about that stuff
most of the youtubers who started in the early days are really well off nowadays. as for his family, i think he mentioned something about his parents owning a store, but he doesn't talk much about them. i think he only ever showed his cousin, who also wanted to be famous, so she was down to be on camera. so no clue about the family's wealth, but seeing as he moved to the uk over 10 years ago after turning 18, i assume they probably helped with that.I just started watching him a week ago. He gave me Cecilia Blomdahl vibes. Cecilia has a rich family who funds her lifestyle and Cecilia hides it. I thought Raphael had a rich family who funded all this so he can get an "IN" in American Food Corporations.
I mean where does he get the money to afford those gorgeous condos and furniture and housewares?
LOL... Thats what I do with everything,i just think you're trying to dig where there's no dirt. it's really not that deep
