You can be a “homo” or whatever extent or version of “queer” and still have problematic, narrow, old-fashioned and even anti-gay views on sexuality, identity, the orientation spectrum and relationships. Also, you clearly said you thought he was “straight” primarily because he didn’t ping your “gaydar”. And why even put your opinions out there if you have little to no tea on this guy and haven’t done any “research”? You would’ve been better off staying quiet rather than saying some random, under-informed, assumption filled and problematic shit about “gaydar” and how he “might be a ‘straight’ guy who can have sex with dudes”.

But he didn't have many relationships with women. He dated Jenna Coleman for 5 years (Jenna and Froy follow each other now), and then Ellie Bomber for one year and many people think she was just a beard, because when he was with her some pictures with Brandon leaked online (other women were just rumors), we actually don't know for sure (he also had a lot of rumors with random guys). And now, with Froy, we can see he totally disappeared, he doesn't even use social media anymore. For some people sexuality is a construction, and perhaps Richard discovered his true sexuality a few years ago, we will never know his confusion or his suffering along the way. Because it amazes me how ignorant some “queers” can be. I sorta get it with “straight” people. But we should know to do our research and at least semi educate ourselves. Also, this is 2021 and we’re still relying on “gaydar” or talking about “straight’ guys” hooking up with dudes? Nowadays, there’s so much easily accessed information about sexuality, gender, fluidity, the orientation spectrum, psychology. Yet, so many insist on continuing to make everything about stereotypes, identities and fantasy.
Anyways, Richard has been really low-key and avoiding social media for months. So, there’s not gonna be much but text until he’s promoting his next project.
I just re-watched Cinderella again and i just fall in love with him. He so charming, cute and handsome. Not to mention about his bulge in the movie. As I lived in the UK myself, apart from bad side of the country, i feel like most british people have a potential to be a prince
I'll never not be amused by the knowledge they made him wear really tight painful underwear so his bulge wouldn't be that prominent, and that said underwear actually made him tear up once.

I think that story he told about Cinderella was from the initial jockstrap fitting, not the actual filming. I'd hope he'd be able to select something a bit more comfortable if he was going to have to wear it for weeks on end.
About that, Lily James also said her dress wasn’t comfortable at all bc it was very tight.
