Richard Madden (Robb Stark in GOT)

Yeah, I know about Harry’s role in Dunkirk. That was still fairly recent. Nobody’s putting a huge franchise on the back of Gaga. Yet, Harry may get set up with huge franchise with an almost nothing acting career. However, singers becoming movie stars (or at least trying) is nothing new. It’s been a thing since forever.

I do think some people are targeting The Eternals and getting off on beating up on it. There’s no denying that by Marvel standards it’s not doing what they’d want it to do critically or box office wise. It’s definitely not gonna be the flop many predicted though.

The key word is “forced”. People don’t want to feel like qualified actors/actresses are missing out on parts because of their skin color.

Just like I as an African American don’t want to be promoted simply because I’m black. I am not speaking for all people of color. These are just my feelings and thoughts.

It’s a complicated situation / topic and I do believe the nay sayers on marvel films are truly racist and vile people. But not all of them.

Okay you seem nuts.

The movie not “doing anything” with a diverse cast is the whole point. What is there to do? The point is IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT THE SEXUALITY (something you all don’t bother mentioning) OF YOUR PEER IS, OR THEIR RACE, OR COLOR ETC. Get it? The Eternals are diverse but not once notice or acknowledge they look different. Because they don’t care or see that. That changes nothing. They all are stronger when they work as one vs. separate.

At least with Gaga, she did act a bit when younger, and it made sense for her first big role to be in something like A Star Is Born. Harry is just getting random roles for being popular, good-looking, having a British accent and because they figure it’ll help get more tween/teenage girls interested. But so far, those are mostly rumors.
In sure working with Award-winning women like Phoebe-Waller Bridge, Chloe Zhao and his current girlfriend Olivia Wilde is exciting matter the reason behind :sun:

The story is good, but it's poorly told, it's too long, there's a lot going on all at once, and there is a plot twist with Ikaris that is very strange because the character is not well built. We don't know what's the plan for the future, can be amazing, but it can also be terrible!!! BUT!!... I still want to see the movie with my own eyes and perspective.

That Ikaris “poor built” thing you said is false.

I’m not getting your response but feel free to misinterpret what I’m saying.

The characters in universe wouldn’t break the 4th wall because Duh that rarely happens.

GaGa’s “A Star Is Born” performance was stitched together in the editing room from different takes. They couldn’t get one complete shot ever.

Styles is naturally talented.
"naturally talented" lmaooooooo

The Eternals movie isn't a flop by any stretch of point. The critics are bad but many huge blockbusters achieved millions without praise in the last 3 years(The Meg, Aquaman, the first Venom movie, Suicide Squad, Bohemian Rhapsody (that shit even stole 4 Oscars, even being massacred by critics))

I really don't know why anyone stills pays attention to critics. Personally if there is a movie that peaks my interest I'm going to go see it regardless of what critics say. I don't need some snobby critic to tell me what is or isn't good. I'm an adult. I can make my own judgements

oh the song that goes watermelon sugar high, watermelon sugar high x4 in its chorus

I don't like seeing him everywhere, Dunkirk was annoying. Or Ed Sheeran in GOT, pointless too

these popstars are everywhere, TV, radio, magazines, chocolate foil and then they put them in, and you sit in the cinema or in front of the telly and you relax yourself into that fictional world --- and then Sheeran comes with a guitar and Styles with his weird shoes, and because you are so used to seeing them everywhere, it pulls you out of that fictional world you're trying to enjoy for at least 45 minutes, so can they just stay on the stage, or somewhere else

i only reckon that they put them in because of the large fanbase and they count on them to buy the tickets idk

Watermelon Sugar is literally about cunniligus, let that soak in and you then try to enjoy the song while you listen. I haven’t been that freaked out since I understood what Sheena Easton’s Sugar Walls was all about.
I love the song just the same. It’s a great song.

Watermelon Sugar is 10x Platinum worldwide, 5x in the states, and won him a Grammy.

I can understand the platinums, since it's a generic bop. But Grammy? It literally repeats same verse and refrain over and over again...

Confession, I have never, ever been a big Madden fan. He was cool as Robb Stark and I’ve seen him in other things here and there, but he did nothing for me (especially in Rocketman with that awful wig). But my goodness did his performance (and appearance) in this win me over. He looked so fucking good. It’s insane. And he have a worthy performance. Just wow. I’ve been thinking about him since watching.

When he goes full psicho at the end, he looks a hundred times hotter!
