Ryan Lochte anyone?

The boy has NOT aged well! Bleached his hair, then jumped into the Rio pool. He is now blessed with bleached, green hair, We know his pits were shaved, I hope for the girls' sake, he shaved his dick and balls clean. Don't quite know how I would react if I went down on a guy with green pubes, but I can see where it could cause a great deal of damage...

The more I hear/read about the facts, the more I think the Brazilian police have overspun this. Lochte and co were compelled out of a cab by armed security personnel; the Brazilian police say these security guards are part of the police; they were forced to take the ground at gunpoint, and to turn over their money. The security guards may have thought all of this justified to exact compensation for unspecified vandalism, but in the U.S., this would constitute armed robbery. Even if Lochte and co could have been charged for vandalism, the extraction of money at gunpoint prior to judicial resolution is armed robbery. Add to that the fact that one of the swimmers "settled" charges with an $11K donation to get back his passport when any charges agains him would have been misdemeanor, and it looks like extortion by Brazilian authorities.

To be clear, Lochte and his mates behaved poorly, but it's far from clear to me that Lochte's claim of armed robbery is innacurate, even if he left out details that would have incriminated him in minor vandalism charges.

I agree. So much so I'm declaring this the 1st international incident actually caused by pure stupidity.

Lochte has admitted his behavior. He and cohorts were drunk, stopped at a gas station to take a leak, and vandalized the men's room. Drunk kids sometimes do things like that. Armed guards forced them to pay for the damage. That would have been the end of it, but then they lied about being robbed, and it became a Big Deal. Lochte just ain't too bright. ;-)

He's 32 years old, not a kid.

I agree 100%. If I were in a foreign country and didn't speak the language and someone dressed like a cop pointed a gun at me and demanded money I would assume I was being robbed by the cops. The photos of the bathroom the swimmers allegedly "trashed" doesn't look torn up so something about the story the authorities are telling doesn't add up. The way this was handled by the Brazilian authorities has just demonstrated to the entire world that their country is a third world shithole and their entire justice system from the cops on the street to the to the judges on the bench is completely corrupt. Who in the hell wants to visit country where you could become a victim of extortion.

I dig the blonde on him, reminds me of my hair in college. He's the hottest athlete at the Olympics this year in my opinion. The dude can flip kegs and does as a workout!
