I believe part of the early success of SC is the fact that they were based in San Diego. If you've ever lived in SD, you'll see there are quite a few guys that fit the mold they wanted. I know, I graduated from the university that sits above Black's Beach. All you had to do was roam the beaches and you'd have lots of men to choose from, especially since you would also get a preview of what they looked like unclothed. I'm sure there were lots of men they could not convince to get fucked on camera, but when you have a lot to choose from, you'll find some. Imagine if SC was started in a place like Phoenix. I doubt they would have been so successful.

The thing is, a lot of the hotties weren't native to San Diego. Many of them were flown in from out of state. I definitely think San Diego helped attract talent, as it's a desirable city right there on the beach, but I don't remember many of the guys actually being from there.
That's why I said EARLY success. I don't think they were flying guys in during those early days. I seem to recall reading that at one point they had a women who would try to recruit guys by chatting them up at the bars, etc.
In addition , SD has a navel fleet and air force there. So yeah , absolutely good location

Also, in the early 2000s every "pretty" person was moving to SD for fun in the sun and to be around other pretty people and maybe do some modeling or personal training; and rent was pretty affordable then. So SC had a lot of local pretty guys that were fine with jerking off for extra cash and in some case went further. No one had much concern about the video being seen by the masses or being exposed. Really unique moment in time; I am glad the owner made a killing and moved on.
