Sean cody

Well now that VISA and Mastercard have decided to ban purchases from PornHub and all MindGeek companies, it is quite possible that it happens.

Huh. I see that was literally just a few days ago. I subbed to SC at the end of November, so I might have got in just in time.

I'm subbed, so I did a support chat to see what's up and got these messages:

The site is undergoing maintenance currently, where plenty of videos, especially older ones are temporarily unavailable
Maintenance should not be much longer and we expect to have all content back within a few weeks

Maintenance that goes on for weeks? That seems... Unlikely.

I'm guessing that Visa/MC is doing a full content audit of all their associated sites since presumably the same weak compliance efforts that were made on Pornhub are being applied to their other sites. They probably got a bit of grace on card acceptance since the risk of similar content violations is slimmer on these sites, but they aren't going to just wholesale approve that without an audit.

I don't think so. Most of the missing videos are from pre-acquisition when SC himself was running it. Why would they have Stu-Blake pop-up, but not the regular Stu-Blake scene?

I'm not suggesting specific scenes were pulled for specific reasons, just saying it seems to indicate there's some sort of review happening behind the scenes. Given that we know MG as a whole is under the microscope, it's a reasonable assumption.

"Maintenance" is code for they don't know what they're doing. Good maintenance is done swiftly with no interruption. Some shit went down and now they're scrambling, is the most likely scenario.

.

I agree, but I think the problem isn't the ability, but lack of subscribers. Even prior to Covid, the industry as a whole was struggling and SC seems to be having it worse than most of the rest. Other than solos, most of the vids uploaded the past eight months have been pop-ups, repost or compilations, so I'm guessing "Maintenance" is code for grab all the money you can before the site goes down for good.

I just wish the real SC will buy it back.

He's happily retired in his 40s, I believe, off the money he made from selling to Mindgeek.

I can't think that anyone would get into producing porn anymore, there's no money in it.

I wonder how much money there really even is in directly producing content, like OnlyFans, unless you're one of the top few content producers.

The golden era of internet porn is gone, amazing how brief it was and how we didn't even notice it when we were in it.

I'm searching names of a lot of early models and getting zero results:

Isaac
Doug
Dennis
Calvin
Jordan
Joshua
Harley
Abe - only has 2 videos remaining
Charlie
Spencer

all gone, and those are just the first few I checked.

Every single name I checked, all videos gone, except for those 2 from Abe.

And even for the models who remain, like Blake, not all their videos remain.

It looks like every video more than a couple of years old is now gone.

Bizarrely though, of the two Abe videos remaining, they are not his most recent two.

One is his final video, but the other is 6 videos before that.

I can't imagine what they're thinking, but part of the reason I've maintained my membership during this drought of new material was access to the database of old videos. If that's gone, I'll probably drop my membership, the new videos are nothing special compared to the classic videos.
probably contractual based on what they signed. After a certain period of time the models were probably allowed to ask to have their videos removed. Keep in mind that there has also been a massive purge at pornhub which is owned by mindgeek and mindgeek owns Sean Cody. Many of these porn performers were coerced, manipulated and groomed by their modeling agents to do porn.

They didn't vanish gradually though, they were all there last week and then gone overnight. I think it's less to do with the individual performers than the overall nuking of Mindgeek by the credit card companies.

Damn I’m despondent. Only reason I subscribe to SC for 5 years was the classic videos! I feel robbed. Cant even unsubscribe because I just bought a 5 year package at a fixed rate. This is insane. Is there any recourse? Why get rid of the absolute best material when there’s a massive drought?!
