Firstly, yeah he's obviously a dumb dumb for not only fucking in his place of work but also recording it and also posting it to social media and spreading it around.

But secondly, for those who are saying this will set LGBT and gay communities back, it gives the enemies ammunition, yada yada, none of that matters. Homophobes and bigots will always hate and the same's true for conservatives. Trump was literally recorded saying people should grab women by the pussies and people still elected him president. If this wasn't the gay scandal the bigots used as ammunition it would be something else, and no matter how much we're respectful, decent or well behaved would change the fact that they hate us.

You want to please a homophobe while being gay? The only way is to not exist. They wont say it out loud but thats what they want. They'll pick apart your behaviors, actions, intents, whatever and pretend that all you have to do is be discrete, keep it in your bedrooms, keep it away from the kids, keep it out of disney and pixar, keep it out of the movies, keep it out of hollywood, keep it off the tv and radio, keep it off social media. This dude was lucky enough to land a great job, abused the fuck out of that privilege and threw it out the window like it was nothing just to bust a nut. He wasn't shagging in the back of the McDonald's drive thru (aka a "place of work"). It's a privilege to work in congress not because it's "holy ground" or "sacred ground," but because its selective. Thousands of people apply (and get rejected) for entry-level jobs in congressional offices hoping to kick-start serious careers and make something of themselves. That alone should be respected more than this. The entitlement/audacity is beyond.

He was hired 2 year ago so who know what was going on then, but I think because he was so low-level no one checked after he was hire.
