no, they really haven't.
shawn is the dude that no matter how much he keeps saying "i'm straight", everyone will just reply "denial is not just a river in egypt".
no one has ever believed that man is straight. no one will ever believe that man is straight. him constantly hanging out with a couple hippies while they all get high af doesn't help the case.
his popularity went down because he basically abandoned the music industry and no one gives a shit about the music he made for his return

In the end, only he knows who he is and how he feels, and others don’t get to decide that for him. Even if, hypothetically, he were gay but didn’t want to admit it, that would still be his choice, and it’s definitely not a reason to doubt what he says publicly. You and others in the LGBT community should be the first to understand how important it is to respect what someone says about their identity. No one likes having their words about themselves questioned, and this kind of attitude only reinforces stereotypes. We should just respect what he says and let him express his identity how and when he chooses
