I’m not “fighting” with anyone. I’m simply pointing out that decency is still important. That treating people with dignity is important. But I guess someone who makes strange, detailed hypothetical scenarios about Shawn (like this one of yours, from a few weeks back) might not understand that.

How is continually coming on a forum to speculate about someone’s sexuality when they’ve publicly stated what their position is productive? I don’t see the Harry correlation. Many seem to think Shawn is very queer but insecure, damaged and closeted. While many think Harry (who has talked about having queer dimensions unlike Shawn) “baits”.

The thing is, as desperate and annoying as those people can be, at least two-thirds of guys with queer dimensions are indeed not unapologetically “out”. While most guys who have queer dimensions will never seriously date someone of their sex. And we’ve witnessed quite a few public figures who’ve indulged hetero relationships for years and then enter queer ones.

The “debate” is tired as hell, because none of us knows anyone’s dimensions, struggles, journeys, insecurities, experiences with fluidity or questioning, or their current place in the gender, sexual, romantic, emotion, commitment spectrum. Folks can only speculate. And even many “out” people aren’t fo’ real about their dimensions, or they still struggle with resentments and internalized phobias. My only issue with Shawn was that he leaned into gay panic, masculine insecurities and low-key homophobia even before the rumors started. Other than that, he doesn’t owe the public anything. And if he’s actually really struggling with some things it’s probably best for him not to be publicly “out”. Because the internet will simply make a joke out of things as usual.

Once you start adding labels, you start adding expectations. They labeled themselves, setting the marker.

Most celebs simply don't get into sexuality proclamations. They know who they are and laugh it off when the public gets it wrong. Let your actions speak louder then words. Though Shawn's actions were saying A LOT!

To Styles' credit, he didn't take the labels thing seriously and is free to do what he wants without having to eat his words later.

He never said he was against it people misquote him saying seeing how heavily edited and made up his Calvin Klein shoots were gave him body dysmorphia and took it as him saying he doesn’t like being perceived as sexy.
