wouldn't make a difference if they were coming from gay men though. people should stop trying to enforce their beliefs about his sexuality and gender identity on him and forcing him to do something he either has no need to do because he isn't actually queer, or something he is not ready to do if he really is. Queer people should know best how terrible and terrifying it is to be outed, so i dunno why people feel so comfortable trying to do that to Shawn. It's one thing to fantasize about Shawn doing gay stuff and what not, this is LPSG after all, but to comment that he IS gay and should come out nonstop for years...ew. Like, I don't even like Shawn in a fan way, I'm just here for the hot pictures, but all the constant forcing of this man to "come out" is toxic. But oh well, can't be helped I guess...

Truly. A lot of us are giving very boot licking vibes when it comes to this. Most of us know this struggle and how painful the journey to accepting your own sexuality, let alone your friends and families acceptance, can be. And Shawn has the added element of being a famous celebrity to that as well. It's a shame to see so many wilfully discard their empathy for the sake of playing up to campy bitchy Gay Men stereotypes, largely for the benefit of homophobic straight women.
I don't. As I say in my post above, the lack of empathy and understanding for someone you believe to be Queer is what's upsetting and frustrating. Shawn's journey to queer acceptance, if that is a journey he's needed to go on, will have been made ten times harder by everyone yelling at him about it constantly. If you genuinely believe he is gay or some other form of queer, surely you can at least empathize with the situation he's in. Some of it his own making, yes, but to turn it around into "you guys have internalized Homophobia" when people point out how cruel and invasive this has all gotten just makes me sad. If this man is a member of our community, we should support him, rather than constantly hounding him about it.
