Don’t make shit up. He’s a singer, songwriter, producer, performer, and multi-instrumentalist. He sold out a headlining gig for Rock in Rio Brazil in 30 minutes this year after a 2 year hiatus

Why does this sound like something this chick's manager would be saying in every interview.

Everyone that's released more than three albums tries their hand at singing, song writing, and light producing. Like, I get y'all are super fans but there is no shame in folks that get songs written for them vs self-authors. Is the music good should be the main focus. The product is the song, not the process for making the sausage because they all get more help than they will ever admit.

I hope that is sarcasm, because Shawn is not a legend at all. He's just a mediocre white boy who was lucky enough to be discovered and became famous for his look. Real legendary musicians are real men such as Freddy Mercury, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson.

He didn't become famous for his looks, he got discovered thanks to his vine covers and he didn't look like he looks now ..at all. He got better with age for sure and he's handsome to look at right now. I don't think he's a legend at all just stating my opinion..

I have nothing against Shawn or his music, but to say he didn't get famous for his looks is naive. Wasn't he part of MAGCON, which was basically white boys being cute on stage? If he didn't look the way he did, he never would have transcended Vine.

his music was never good. he got popular for being good looking. a heartthrob. same reason his other magcon pals, like cameron dallas, got popular. had he looked like ed sheeran, he'd never reach the level of popularity he did at such a young age.
he went away for too long, and just like a youtuber that doesn't upload for several months, people lost interest and there was nothing any form of comeback could repair.
he'll be better off continuing to use his good looks to stay relevant, because no one cares about his music. pull a charlie puth and whore himself on social media for attention. maybe try to book some acting gigs in a sitcom where he just plays a himbo with very few lines. something that doesn't require much effort and he just has to stand there and be pretty. that's what he's good at.
