even if this is true (which it is not, imo)...eroding fame doesn't erode past earnings

even if the current/future fame is gone...the existing fortune is still there, lol

and from the looks of it, the current album doesn't seem like it costs millon$ to make...and he has a recording contract...record label pays the production expenses

well if it's career related money, a good chunk of that goes to his team.
as for the houses, taxes. if you own really expensive shit and you gotta pay really high taxes but you're not making any money, all your savings are gonna get used up. the well dries up.
and we also don't know if he didn't have to cover costs of the tour being cancelled. because labels put a lot of money on releasing albums and making tours happen, and they expect to make that money back, and all it takes is a clause in a contract stating that he has to cover the costs if he cancels that shit that he's in the red

Yes, there could be a little to a lot of cancellation fee/penalty...and from whom, depending on the contract.

If I remembered*** correctly, he did cancel the last tour very early on...meaning that he only did a few shows with many more dates still left on the schedule.

***I might be wrong since I'm not a Mendes Stan (but a Mendes Hater according to this thread because I didn't drool over his music), lol
