When he skip out on his tour, he stiffed their insurance agency which was likely not willing to cover all of the accrued debts from promotions to venue rentals, merch, etc. So I'm sure there was pressure, and a contract, for another album & tour. I doubt he'd be broke, he lives in a modest $4 million West Hollywood (hahahaha, of course) home and a has his little NYC love nest.
Beyond shopping for expensive hobo chic fits, I doubt he's spending that much.

He just released a song and is now on vacation in costa rica that man don’t care about his career
Especially when even if you're not working you're still paying your agent, accountants, legal team, assistants,managers, pr team each a six figure salary every single year.
No matter how much his music and tours have made, Artists only get a small portion of record sales profit and concert tour profits and make most of their money from endorsements
Also he has a 360 deal so his royalties go through half a dozen people before it trickles down to him and that's before tax!
