Is it worth it? I'm still not sure. I did most of my growth at a time when I was very depressed, and didn't really care too much if it killed me. I am glad that it didn't, but I still feel the need to keep growing. 3.6 litres so far. Maybe I can reach 4 this year.

I plan to have it removed eventually because there are many other things in life that I want to do, that the size of my genitals have made difficult or impossible. I don't regret having silicone, but I do wish that there had been alternatives like polyacrylamide aqua gel (PAAG) available when I first started my journey. PAAG looks exciting because it is relatively cheap, relatively easy to acquire and permanent, but it doesn't seem to antagonise the immune system in the same way that silicone does. Unfortunately, because I already have silicone, I am stuck with it because it is very dangerous to mix and match.

It’s the “as long as… aware of the risks” that’s problematic. Self injecting or even “doctor” managed injecting of free floating silicone gel is extremely dangerous and life threatening even if the initial injection itself seems successful. The influencers and enablers like lebulge and rsjdesign and others do bear responsibility for encouraging and running groups that preach such dangerous practices in the name of body modification.

Even if if it is not your or my personal position that silicone injecting is safe, let's be practical about the context of THIS particular thread. Some people on this thread already have silicone and many have probably contemplated or researched such injections. The criticism is analogous to going into a room of smokers to shame them about the dangers of smoking. Chastisement or moral judgment about the practice is probably not the most effective way to convince people.

I was being nuanced and did/do condemn Dylan's abusive demands and treatments of Tank, insisting that he inflate him cock and balls.

I’ve probably seen too much damage from the practice and some of the folks who promote it for personal and financial gain, and the vulnerable victims who are feeling inadequate, and are led to believe it’s not as risky as is.
