Since this is a thread on silicone injections, I won’t bash the practice outright as long as people are aware of the risks.

On the specific issue of Tank’s death, I will denounce that. I followed Dylan and Tank on Tumblr back in the day as well as many in the online gay community. Their content on a “tribal” communal lifestyle and emphasis on penis pumping and later silicon injections really brought body modification into the forefront. At the time as well as in retrospect, I observed and believed Dylan’s behavior to be abusive like a cult master.

One big difference is that Todd did this of his own free will, not at the demand of some self-proclaimed "Master," who clearly did not deserve to use that title.

Mark (Bulgemark), who was the original founder of LPSG, was massively siliconed to the point where he called his stuff "The Blob." Eventually, he thought better and had the silicone removed. He was lucky, because according to scaring, etc., removal does not always go well.

There is a difference between silicone in the penis, and the procedure usually used for breasts. In breast augmentation today, the silicone is usually in a sealed shell, like a bag, that gets implanted. Unless the shell breaks or leaks, the silicone cannot migrate into the body. (And if this does happen, it is considered a medical emergency.) In the massive penis procedures, the liquid/gel silicone is just injected under the skin, or in the scrotum. It's really just luck and the grace of god that keeps it from escaping into bad places. For less extreme penis modification, there are safer fillers, such as Collagen, etc.

Eric, thanks for your comments. I agree, particularly about Todd. He was a friend of mine as well, though not very close we spent a decent amount of time hanging out. Sadly he was responsible for his own passing and he knew the dangerous game he was playing. Doctor E had cut him off years before and wisely so but Todd and his mantra of bigger is better where not to be ignored or denied. Still it was very sad news made more painful as he passed on Christmas Eve. I acknowledge there have been far too many fatalities but they are still the exception not the rule. There are a lot of guys who have augmented their junk with out issue. Myself for example, I am someone with far less cc’s than these guys, (Todd was 1800+cc’s in his shaft and was going for 2100 cc’s at the time of his passing) I haven’t had any issues and I had mine done in 2005.
Let’s learn from those we lost, exercise caution and moderation in our choices and above all be kind with our words. Judging others doesn’t benefit anyone. Peace.
