So what's up with these guys who gain big social media followings off being very tall?

I think these dudes are becoming a slight kink of mine, at least the ones that give off the vibe that they're just having fun with it. It's just another specified form of 'I'm sexy and I know it' I guess.

I'm a little jealous though, maybe - not in a way comparing my little bit below average height self to them just physically, but... OMG am I tripping or do really tall dudes have a possible opportunity that (unlike some stuff which just seems to 'prefer' them overall) is legitimately totally exclusive?

I kind of caught a rare proper online crush on a 6'7" stud on his socials recently. Usually when it comes to online hot guys I just think 'oh, he looks good' and move on. Anyway, he often posts this height-emphasis type of content (celebrity comparisons where he always 'wins' etc. except for maybe one taller basketball player for 'balance' lol), and a lot, I mean a lot of people seem to like that stuff (taking his overall looks into account me too, I'm only human lol). There are some comments pretty obviously from straight dudes that honestly seem bitter, but the thirsty comments from women and gays seem to way outnumber them.

There's a bit more to it I guess, 'cause the most successful guys at this also seem to work out a lot and are at least decent looking in general, but every follower they have it's obvious a normal or below height person would definitely not get through doing so 'little' overall .

So like, a few thoughts, has anyone else noticed this first off? I'd kind of be interested to know when it sort of kicked off, if it is a proper 'trend'?

Would this be an easy mode way for any really tall guy who has a decent fitness and isn't a total orc to get SM attention especially ('cause anything over 6'4" is 0.5% of the population and so pretty rare? The guy I first discovered doing this has like half a million followers across IG and TikTok and the others I've seen seem to have at least decent numbers as well.

Is this a reason shorter men could be jealous of taller men that's harder to dismiss? Getting big followings (and the extra exposure/opportunities that could come with big followings) just for being tall and fit?

Its totally a kink but on the other hand a lot (but not all) of tall guys I've met or interacted with are always on some degree a little arrogant and narcissistic and seem to base their entire existence off of the fact they are 6 feet tall almost like it's a personality trait. One guy I used to work with was super tall and he obsessively worked out. He was extremely attractive, had the biggest legs and calves I've ever seen, but his personality totally revoled around the fact he was bigger than everybody else. Wore tank tops and would strut around trying to get attention. He once stood up and declared to everybody that he always get his way because he's physically larger than everyone. He was physically hot but his personality was repulsive.Total douche canoe . I think tall guys get so many followers on social media because of the idealization of bigger is better, but social media doesn't give any indication of their personality unless you know them in person

One near 6'4" workmate I had had fucking beautiful legs . He definitely kicked off the tall guy for me as one of my types. Took me until my early 20s to get a crush that big lol. He's pretty much the only one I've seen much of in real life (obviously seen some hot tall guys in passing, as well as some that aren't so hot) that had a nice face to go with it as well and was generally the complete 'package' (even with a kind of thin/underdeveloped upper body). This guy seemed aware of his attractiveness, but wasn't OTT about it, he was pretty chill in general.

What's obvious to me though is that when people say height doesn't matter and kind of look down (no pun) on anyone for having thoughts on it, when there's this whole level of fetishistic attention many of them have access to, especially in this day and age, that most definitely doesn't go the other extreme, is kind of BS .

Tall and rich have been the most adhered to hierarchies of male desirability since civilization was a thing, and I imagine tall was the dominant trait in the millennia preceding civilization.
What it comes down to is we aren't as far progressed beyond exceptionally inquisitive, exclusively bipedal chimpanzees as we make ourselves out to be, and the biggest, strongest chimp rules the troop and has all of the mates.

Well it definitely does something. Recently i got a new colleague: in his 20s, 6'7, almost 300 pounds of muscle and chest hair coming out of his shirt. I am tall myself but when he entered the room something happened lol.. it's weird standing next to him during a stand-up, he immediately draws attention even though he is a soft spoken and quiet guy.

Yeah I get it. I posted this thread during a recent bout of slight 'body dysphoria' I'm just starting to recover from even though I consider myself in the average range albeit lower end. I know I'm physically blessed in other ways (low maintenance muscle) and have good health so it's not all bad. No logic in envying the top 0.1% of anything or even like top 10%. Only so much room in that percentage.

I'm probably also underestimating the gym time these guys put in to pack their long limbs and also the role their faces play. They'd be hot even if they weren't as tall.

I also realized through this I'd love to find a 6'3 or 190+ guy for myself in due time :). I learned that guys specifically much shorter than them are quite liked for a lot of taller men.

Who's the 6'7 crush you're talking about? Do you have a link?

Honestly, I think I'm way more into a hot body over height and face.

Been successfully thinking about this topic less though. Having types is great but obsessing too much about immutable characteristics (in others or oneself) is of course a dead end.
