Survivor Island Of The Idols

yes
women should be quiet and let men make them feel uncomfortable just because a gay
doesn't want to have his horny show ruined
This “Gay” turns on TV to be entertained, not to be burdened with two hours of whatever the current, most popular movement is. If I wanted that, I’d watch the news.

I'm so sorry that a woman being inappropriately touched got in the way of you enjoying yourself!

Stop being so fucking insipid and have at least the tiniest bit of consideration for someone other than yourself!

I don’t think you watched the show very closely. He didn’t do anything to them that was inappropriate. They were just being emotional women. He knew the cameras were on him. He has a wonderful job and family. Why would he do anything so stupid. You people across the pond think you’re so perfect. it makes me sick.

LMFAOO okay first of all, women standing up for themselves isn’t “A PoPulAr MoVeMeNt” nor is it to support them a popular movement, it’s basic human rights. and “emotional” ? “women sure know how to screw up ..” you’re so misogynistic it’s laughable and you’re clearly not aware of it. god i cant stand guys like you, please educate yourselve and stop being so full of yourself.

Bla bla bla. You go girl!

Survivor should stop trying to incorporate all these social issues in the episodes. It's obvious they want to score ratings gold but everyone knows that the castaways would do anything for a million dollars (including the whole fake #MeToo scenario) so Jeff should stop trying to synthesize about this as a lesson learned and a "beauty in Survivor" every time.

Anyway, going back to the hottie, Dean is obviously just keeping quiet as he knows that he isn't liked by everyone. If there's a dumb one, it's that trainer Aaron, he keeps talking a lot! For someone who is looked as a "hottie" he seems to be very socially awkward and unaware that he is saying so many cringe worthy stuff in tribal council! I feel so embarrassed for him.

I don't care if you are Joe Biden or Dan on Survivor. You don't have the right to grab and start playing with/putting your nose in women's hair that you barely know! Especially if they have already told you that it makes them uncomfortable.

Well said! Totally agree.

This thread is really sad since the most recent episode. Even if this is a troll (bigginuc) it's sad to see so much hate and inconsideration from anyone. Being gay, seeing this play out on a nation wide scale, and decide to not support other people for living their truth and being themselves and trying to be accepted for that, is just....shocking.

However, Tommy was looking hella sexy, got plenty of screen time, and I noticed how big his feet were during the last comp. I don't have a foot fetish or anything but he is insanely sexy. Woof!

So, your definition of a troll is someone who doesn’t agree with your thinking? Name calling is okay with you? So be it. I have a name for you too but I won’t lower myself like you have.

If a woman TELLS YOU she doesn't want to be touched and you continue to touch her... Then you're being inappropriate. There is no argument to the contrary.
So you have a problem with women AND with people from the UK? Wow, you really need to get yourself some professional help <3

Honestly, with how the edits have been, I think it's a bit unfair for Dan as well. I mean, the producers should not have depicted him as an inappropriate "touchy feely" person if they aren't going to sanction him. It seems like they magnified the issue to have a big scandal in reality television but it became a complete mess. Either way, he will be seen as that creepy old perve regardless of whether there was an actual issue or not.

The producers obviously wanted to inject the whole #MeToo movement in the episode to make it realistic when it all backfired because they didn't properly handle the situation.

I think Jeff trying to synthesize this issue at tribal was handled poorly. He always wanted to make it look like "okay this is how it goes in the game" when they should have intervened and laid ground rules on the sensitivity of the issue.

In my opinion, Janet quitting would be a slap in the face to Jeff and the producers of the show. Playing that game in that social aspect of ruining reputations and false accusations (especially with how sensitive the issue is on sexual harassment) is a big no.

Real life situations are worse, but in a controlled environment like Survivor, they should have not allowed the girls to use the #MeToo movement to further themselves in the game. They should have penalized Dan if there were actual complaints about his misbehavior.

The whole part where the production team talked to the contestants should have been aired as well. They didn't show what happened and it bothered the viewers since they are left hanging with the whole harassment situation. Even Kellee doesn't seem bothered anymore. The show should have been more transparent.

Yeah it was handled very badly in every way.

Dan WAS given an "official" warning though, although talking about transparency, there's no actual explanation as to what an official warning means in this context?

I didn't like the way Kellee was talking to the camera and got visibly upset about it and the producer said "if you want us to do something, tell us"... Like, it shouldn't have been her decision to TELL THEM to do something. They could already see by that point she had been put in a position she didn't want to be in, and they should have intervened WITHOUT asking her.

I also think Jeff ALWAYS takes any opportunity to try and play the "Look how important Survivor is to modern day culture" card.

On a more human level, it was astounding that Janet (and Jamal to an extent) were literally the ONLY people who seemed to care in the slightest about the issue... Kind of makes you understand why it has taken so many years for these kind of things to come to light in the real world!

Tommy is such a generic boring typical winner the show gets these days. I'm not spoiled but it's as clear as day he wins given his constant confessionals when he would be invisible for being so dull if he hadn't won.

I was really enjoying this season until the last two episodes they were building up a female win and a woman alliance working for once and in the space of a few days the women in contention to win mainly Missy have become irredeemable.

Last seasons winner was absolutely awful and to be honest I can't remember the last winner I enjoyed.

I actually liked the season where the eliminated contestants get to come back. It was interesting though it obviously killed the chances of the ones who stayed since the eliminated contestant who got to come back bonded with the jury (which gave him an advantage).
