This week the Museum of Modern Art is showing the restored version of Spencer Tracy's pre-code film Man's Castle. The film was re-cut to remove "offensive" scenes when it was re-released after Spencer's priest roles at MGM made him a huge star. Apparently a naked butt shot of Spencer was in the original film, so it will be interesting to see if it has been restored.
