I'm gonna let this be known now like I have in other threads. I don't talk much on this website because for the most part the energy on here is toxic. I post what I post and hope people enjoy. TBH I think it’s more so whoever plays the teachers fault, Thomas is giving it his all & the teacher is giving no energy back lol
Yeah. But also the character is his teacher, so I guess deep down he knows he shouldn’t be doing that and maybe he’s holding back a bit haha
It’s ripping off other shows and doing it in the most boring way possible. Substituting bath house visits and malegeneral mentions for actual interesting story. I mean cute butt or not I didn’t need another student teacher relationship on a teen soap.
Agree 100%, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it if they gave Max more of a story line, I can't stand when a gay/bi characters only storyline involves *blank* lgbt issue (Love Victor/Kevin in Riverdale), at least Polo was killing people lol
This is interesting becase Elite is very much an updated, R-Rated, shameless rip-off of the original Gossip Girl show (plus How to Get Away With Murder). So certainly the Gossip Girl remake could have taken inspiraiton from Elite in how it updates its forumla, the the base formula still very much originated with Gossip Girl (2007).

I really hope the teacher isn’t getting set up because I actually think they have some amazing chemistry.
I mean I hope the teacher is getting set up, I’m pretty sure the kid characters ages are 14 - 16...
Max is 18 specifically so they could do this story and all his friends are younger. Lol
Max is 18 and all the other characters (the juniors) are 16 and the freshman is 15
Max is actually 17 (age of consent in NY). He confirms it in this interview (15 seconds in).
You guys are acting so dense, of course the actor is going to be older thats not the moral dilemma, the moral dilemma is showing a 17 year old high-schooler get into a relationship with their teacher. Not only is it wrong on a moral level, but it also perpetuates the stigma that gay kids are preyed on by older gay people and this has a direct link to their gayness. The fact that someone in here wanted to see their relationship blossom because they have “chemistry” is weird IMO. I really hope they do not go that route, it’s been a weird trope that ended in the early-mid 2010s, and there’s a reason why it has not been brought back. Teenagers like me use to watch those dynamics as little kids and ship these adults x teenagers thinking it was cute - psychology literally tells us we internalise the media we consume on a subconscious level - imagine how easy it would be to pray on kids who may have an innocent crush on you if they’re already open and think it’s normal to have romantic and sexual relationships with their teacher?
