I guess we're not allowed to have opinions in here lolSaying "I feel he'd be bad in comedy" because you didn't like him in on specific comedy doesn't mean you aren't a fan, it means you have an opinion...

I actually think Timmy is hilarious. All of his interviews are filled with laughter and charn. His rapping days at LaGuardia still are hilarious. And i loved him as Smokechedda Da Assgedda LMFAOOOO With the right script, I could see him being a huge comedic, Jim Carrey-esque romance comedy actorI feel he will be bad in comedy.. because he is bad in Don't look up.. and besides my nick Zac Efron is the one who needs better movies...even if I like him in both Neighbors films lol he is great in movies like "The Iron Claw"
I did like his performance in Wonka. I think the script overall made the film dragI thought the dune films and wonka were good
Come on, SNL gave us The Blues Brothers, one of the greatest comedy films of the 20th century!I don't think anyone outside the US has ever laughed at SNL...

A lot of people obviously did enjoy Dune. Movies are made with the intent of getting audiences to see them. Who wants to be a flop at the box office?Timothee is a wonderful talent. I just find the movies he chooses to involve himself in uninteresting. I want more relatable titles for him. I don't know a single person who actually enjoyed Dune. But I guess being a success at the box office is all that matters?
You can like whatever you want to like, but that is absolutely not what his career trajectory has been so far or what he's been interested in doing lol. He's a funny guy IRL or on SNL, but he is very obviously not remotely interested in being Jim Carrey. And in terms of stardom and box office it has worked out very well for him. Dune may not have been #1 but it did very, very well and whether you cared about it or not (it's not exactly my favorite movie) a shit-ton of people saw it and saw it for him. With the right script, I could see him being a huge comedic, Jim Carrey-esque romance comedy actor

Plus, this isn't 20-30 years ago. The reality is most romcoms have been flopping in the theaters for years. Like Tom Hanks before him, Timmy is not interested in being stuck as a light comic actor. I like comedies. But he's not doing them, and with a few exceptions most of them don't sell in American theaters atm sadly.
I just wanna enjoy a film that he's in for once. Cause I saw Dune for him too. And it was a waste of 2 hours. Boring as fuck. Idk why box office numbers are being brought up. Timmy has stated he's not concerned with what's gonna be a big box office draw when he decides to do films (which is why he's vocal about not wanting to do a Superhero movie). He typically chooses productions that he feels will get noticed by The Academy and it's too contrived and boring for me. Wonka was a step in the right direction. Shit man. I just saw this the other day and shot a massive load to it.I haven't seen this shared before, Timmy in underwear in Hot Summer Nights.
No actor or film is going to appease everyone - not even Jim Carrey - who hasn't been relevant in years. Box-office was brought up to prove the point that audiences obviously liked Dune. Just like they did A Complete Unknown, Wonka. And the industry and critics certainly like him.I just wanna enjoy a film that he's in for once. Cause I saw Dune for him too.
