I'm thinking of deleting my account. Whenever I write a post questioning the dynamics between a (potentially bi-curious) 'straight'-identified person and I, I receive really disgusting responses from 2 members in particular. They pathologize gay men explicitly stating that we project fantasies, don't respect straight men. It's frankly abusive.
Some men do send mixed signals and yes, there may be some confusion as to whether we are reading too much into it or not but my intention is not to fantasize over corrupting a straight man.
Is anyone else finding these responses really homophobic in nature or tone? One person said that I have a pattern of describing endless fantasies with straight men and even suggested a past habit of his of collating evidence from my past posts. I'm furious still about these 2 members persistently telling me to find gay available people and stop with my fantasies and to have "self-respect".

If moderators don't warn these members about consistently attacking other members I'm discouraged from ever posting again or deleting my account. These members seem to obtain great joy telling gay guys that we are perverse and always wanting unavailable guys. We may be working through our own shit and don't need them pathologizing us and stating that we're predators. I am just wondering if other members feel upset about our posts being targeted.

There are fairly strict definitions of what constitutes "abuse" worth reporting. If a specific post does cross those lines, it can be reported. Otherwise, you can either come to terms with what other members are saying, or click "Ignore" on their name if you don't want to see their posts.

I clicked ignore on their two profiles. Thank you. I wasn't aware of that functionality. It's great. No more having to get upset over their rot. Can I actually block them?
I'd say it's not worth thinking about any further. I figure part of life is learning how to deal with people we disagree with, and while I've clicked "Ignore" myself (for a single user, only for some time) sometimes that means being able to simply ignore or step back from confrontation on our own without relying on building walls.

As if straight men don’t fantasize about off limits women. It’s human to want what we can’t have and some of us have fantasies about straight men for that reason. Don’t be discouraged and don’t take what they say to heart. It’s hypocritical, ignorant, and unimportant. You are free to fantasize about whatever you want and being brave enough to post it here deserves respect not bullying. Especially for something so mundane as gay men being attracted to straight men. Sounds like those two men are very insecure in their own sexuality if they’re worried about gay men finding them attractive. Any secure straight man would be flattered by another man finding him attractive, not threatened. It’s usually the same men that say “don’t hit on me” that wouldn’t be able to pay a woman to hit on them let alone a gay man. These types of sexual insecurities stem from ignorance and homophobia. Just keep being you and enjoy what you enjoy and leave these guys in the past which, coincidentally, is where their sex lives reside.
