Today's mood

More than a little worried, frankly.

Returning from Mexico City Tuesday, I had a cardiovascular event mid flight, scary enough for a flight attendant to ask me whether I wanted to divert the flight and have paramedics on the ground when we landed. I said no, but I learned a lot about how I must’ve looked from that question.

Now, I’m facing blood tests, a treadmill test, and urine tests to see what the hell is wrong. And twice today my heart rate has increased rapidly for no reason.

So yeah, I’m a bit scared. As is my wonderful husband, who’s been a pillar of strength in all of this.

NCbear (who’s only 50, dammit!)

It sounds like you’re now getting the professional attention you need, so that’s good. Best of luck, buddy!

Hope you're okay and it turns out to be nothing after all.

Could the thinner air have had something to do with it? I've heard Mexico City is high altitude. Maybe if you're not used to high altitude places it could have had a cardiovascular effect? Just a thought.
