so i have zero training, zero culinary training, zero background in it, and no one who really taught me how to cook but considering all of that I do at times impress myself with the things I cook.

Managing depression. Trying very hard to stay off meds. It's been since late summer. I eat well. I exercise A LOT. I hardly drink. I could use more hours of sleep but don't always sleep well, anyway.
And I want to cry pretty frequently. Not just sad tears, but emotional tears of any sort. Happiness or sadness. I'm a rank sentimentalist. Frequently, I feel like my life is hollow.

Bad sleep really is a problem. Wish you success in staying off those medications!
