SPOILERS AHEAD: DO NOT READ IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS

Okay, I’m halfway through Ep1 S4 (The Boys) and I was shocked by the Frenchie bisexual storyline. Didn’t see any signs of this in seasons 1-3. I will upload video in subsequent posts.

SCENE: Frenchie runs into an old acquaintance he met while attending drug rehab meeting long ago. In this scene the build up is intense and it seems like Frenchie is conflicted by his feelings. Just after they lock eyes Frenchie barges out of the bathroom seemingly trying to deny his feelings for the tall dark stranger.

SPOLIERS AHEAD: VIDEO OF KISS SCENE BELOW

My commentary:
I must admit that I was a bit disappointed at the warp speed by which this kiss took place. I was anticipating a storyline of Frenchie struggling with his sexuality while hiding it from his teammates with the build up playing out slowly. Instead writers jumped right in without any backstory. It felt rushed! Almost as if they needed two LGBT characters to quickly insert into the series just to check a box. It lacked the intensity of the scene prior when they encountered each other in the bathroom. And with it happening outside around a mob of people it didn’t feel intimate nor special.

I posted the kiss scene wrapped in a spoiler tag out of respect for those who wanted to watch the episode first. Oh well : unamused:
Well thise people should do it first and hen check the thread next. If I wanna avoid spoilers I won't check the threads (or just anything on the 'Net) until I've watched the new episodes

Worrying about spoilers on a juicy site is kinda weird to me personally :joy:

Anyways I was not surprised to see Frenchie’s bisexuality, felt like it had always been heavily implied throughout the show…

Also I might have missed it, but has Tomer Capone said anything about his own orientation?

I wouldn’t say it came out of nowhere since Frenchie was in a throuple relationship with one of them being a guy back in season 2 flashbacks and he asked MM if he wanted trans strippers at his bachelor party

Yeah Frenchie being queer isn't exactly news. They've done more than hint at it in every season. Though it is rushed. And I doubt will ever be given the time like they have given every other hetero relationship. They even built in a time bomb for it to end.
