Vince sant

I get that. My point is that Covid is never going away. Nothing we can do as a human race will make it go away. The flu has been around for over 1000 years. We have had a vaccine for 80 years, and it is still here going strong every year. Less than 20% of the population takes the flu vaccine every year, the rest protect the vulnerable and go about their daily lives. The healthy population achieves herd immunity while protecting the vulnerable. It takes months, but it happens EVERY YEAR. More people have already received the Covid vaccine than receive the flu vaccine.

If Vince or other people not wearing masks were going to an event like this and then going to a nursing home than yes, that would make him a giant asshole.

We can ignore science or continue to make it up as we go but to what end. I work in clinical trials. There is only 1 way to beat a virus. Protect the vulnerable. The rest achieve herd immunity. It took Sweden 7 months. Florida has been wide open for months, New York has the strictest lockdowns in the country. Florida has more cases (cases means nothing. False positives, antibody positives, asymptomatic cases all contribute to cases of Covid).

What matters is that their hospitalizations and deaths are a fraction of what New York is and continues to improve. Because they are protecting the vulnerable and the rest of the population is living/working to achieve herd immunity. It is the ONLY way that this virus can be beat. The other way is to lockdown, always wear a mask for future time because a new vaccine will come out every year because the virus mutates every year.

This whole comment is patently based on ignorance and spreading disinformation.

The population doesn't achieve "herd" immunity annually to the flu. I'm not sure what right-wing paleo blog you're reading but that is patently false. The vaccine is trying to catch up to the mutations of the influenza virus or targeting the most common influenza virus that is found in populations. If you do work in clinical trials, then you would understand that the longer a virus/pathogen is around, the more mutations of that virus/pathogen would exist and spread through populations which is why it makes certain diseases even more difficult to contain. There have been many global diseases that have been next to eradicated due to mass vaccinations. Vaccinations work. Suggesting otherwise is dangerous.

Sweden never did and never will achieve herd immunity by simply letting a virus that has mutated to more contagious and more deadly forms just run its course. Their effort was a disaster and every one in Sweden from the Kingdom to the Gov't has acknowledge their failure.

"Sweden’s policy of allowing the controlled spread of Covid-19 viral infection among the population has so far failed to deliver the country’s previously stated goal of herd immunity. Commenting on recent antibody testing clinical and research findings, authors of a paper published by the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, write that Sweden’s higher rates of viral infection, hospitalisation and mortality compared with neighbouring countries may have serious implications for Scandinavia and beyond."

Using Desantis' numbers as some sort of success considering how poor Florida is doing is pretty hilarious.
Florida does not intentionally provide accurate data on COVID and that's been the case for the entire year.

Vince isn't living his life in a vacuum with other COVID deniers. Everyone is affected by his bizarre choices. Every time he enters a grocery store, a coffee shop, goes to the gym, interacts with his cleaning staff, etc., they're all affected by his choice to ignore COVID guidelines.

In case you needed more information on how wrong you are:

"In the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Swedish national response continues to be an outlier with cases and deaths increasing more rapidly than in its Nordic neighbours. On Dec 20, 2020, COVID-19 deaths in Sweden had reached more than 8000 or 787 deaths per 1 million population, which is 4·5 to ten times higher than its neighbours. This difference between Nordic countries cannot be explained merely by variations in national cultures, histories, population sizes and densities, immigration patterns, the routes by which the virus was first introduced, or how cases and deaths are reported. Instead, the answers to this enigma are to be found in the Swedish national COVID-19 strategy, the assumptions on which it is based, and in the governance of the health system that has enabled the strategy to continue without major course corrections."

Major things to point out
1. Sweden never said they were aiming for herd immunity. Idk were that misinformation came from.
2. The scientists are the ones handling Sweden’s covid response, and they have more power than. their central government. That is what we want is the scientists to handle it.
3. The prime Minister of Sweden didn't mean that their handling of Covid-19 was a failure, he was speaking in general, in terms of the world, that any death due to Covid-19 is a failure. (Translation issue from the media).

It isn't misinformation. It's a path that Sweden openly followed. Tegnell denying it doesn't change the reality. Tegnell's approach can only be considered as an approach to achieve herd immunity.

On top of that, Tegnell discussed Sweden adopting a herd immunity response in leaked e-mails.

Tegnell is an official with the Swedish Health Ministry - a government agency. You do understand that, right? Tegnell or state/gov't scientists don't make decisions or policy without confering with government agencies. Sweden's Prime Minister has acknowledged their response fell short. In other words, it was a complete failure.

Was referring specifically to what the kingdom acknowledged about its country's coronavirus response. That it was a complete failure:

"Sweden’s king said his country had failed in its handling of COVID-19, in a sharp criticism of a pandemic policy partly blamed for a high death toll among the elderly."

I just don't agree with the points you brought up on this reply. But hey, I don't want to fill the thread with Sweden, when people come to look at some dick lol. Although Swedish dick does sound good right now... lol

Shame on people being political idiots on this thread. Embarrassing. No one gives an actual shit about political views and history when you're on a website with horny men and women. Except political idiots embarrassing themselves. Worst of all, they think they're justified. Never were.

If it wasn't for these "political idiots", your ass would be beaten, in prison, or dead just for being gay. So, you can thank a long history of "political idiots" for paving the way for you to live a life in any way you want. But keep on lusting after a dude that wouldn't spit on you if you were on fire.

The only one that is embarrassing themselves is you.

I don't really care much about him except for his looks. like even if i dont like him personally, i still like seeing his pictures and that's just really about it. it's superficial i know. also, because that's what this thread is about no? im sure there are other threads where you can discuss these matters anyway.

for me, i think i just want to know the thought process of people not even liking what he looks like or stopped admiring his physicality but then spendthe time and energy to say that in this thread? like, do you log on to this website and think "i'll go to vince sant's thread to educate people how bad he really is" or is it more like, you suddenly stumble upon this and you say "well, why not?". Do you personally allot time to go to these threads and speak about important issues?

i hope to anyone who will potentially read this take this question with no offense meant. and im not also being sarcastic. im just curious with these kinds of websites. like is it a choice to go to the thread of a specific person to say they're not your cup of tea because a, b, and c. if it is, what prompts you? do you follow them on social media and see their posts and it riles you up? if you do, why follow them at all?

or am i getting the purpose of this thread wrongly. like is this thread meant for these kinds of discussions exactly?
