Amazing ! Never heard of Fred Kovert before, thanks for that. What is such a turn on for me, besides the beautiful men of that era, is that it was all illegal...
ANDREW KOZAK posed with his Arms in the air for Fred Kovert in 1948. The illegality of Nude Photos of Men in the 1940s led to harassment by the LAPD of Kovert. Kovert was famous also for doing Gag Drag in silent films. That also made him a target of the LAPD. Sadly Kovert died in 1949 of a self inflicted Gunshot wound. He was a Genius in my honest opinion.

Oh wow ! Now that puts a less 'turn on' spin of it , poor guy ! Grateful for the legacy he left behind though... incredible photographs.
JACK CONANT posed Nude for Kovert of Hollywood in 1947. I would estimate that 97% of Fred Kovert's photos were Nudes of Men. Which was amazing as Nudes were illegal in the 1940s. Kovert did his own thing and was true to his Art even if it cost him everything.
