I don't think I ever worked up the courage to buy these at a dept store in the mid 70's. I was too self-conscious, certain that the cashier would be a WOMAN who would look at me knowingly , perfectly aware of why a guy like me would buy these.
I do have a clear memory of buying a pair of white mesh-pouch brief at a certain age. My heart raced as I saw it on the shelf, a noticeable bulge on the package cover. I suspect I scoped out the store like the guys in "Ocean's Eleven," planned my actions to swoop in when there was no line, toss the briefs package on the counter, and have my already-counted-money-including-tax ready to go.
I succeeded, I know that, and it came home with me and housed my cock and balls in the pouch while I admired myself in the mirror, frantically grabbed my cock and shot my load all over my room.

A lot/most guys wore briefs like that in the mid-70s.

Anyone find an Adammale ad from maybe the late 90s early 2000s that might have been in the now defunct Mens Workout magazine? It featured many men in different styles of underwear I remember a fire engine red bong thong, a cracked ice brief, silk boxers, A very strappy rubber or leather number silk thong nylon posing pouches and I just can't for the life of me figure out where to find it!

The bong thong i guess was like the very first pouch underwear it had a pouch in front that would lift and put forward the cock while having a thong rear.
