The new book about Playgirl magazine is amazing. Lots of vintage full-frontal images, from centerfolds to retrospectives on each of the decades. Lots of covers are shown, along with snippets of interviews with celebrities through the years. Some opinion pieces from current and former editors. It's the same physical size of a typical Playgirl magazine, but it has 320 pages on high quality stiff paper.

I ordered from the publisher, who made it difficult to let me know of a delivery date. I still haven't heard back from them. I saw it was on Amazon, I ordered it and it arrived on my doorstep the following day. I cancelled the order with the publisher.

I tried to cross reference his dad's job and his birth year and couldn't find anything under his name... then again no one really uses their real name. I think some of the details might be fake too.

ohhh boy, you would not believe how many playgirl model use their real name ,almost 35%, that's a lot. let me break down to you,
90's playgirl models : easy to search, because most of them use real name, and they probably still alive right now, and usually some of young gaypornstar start from here or MEN magazine
00's playgirl models : this part where some of them be aware about internet and information, so they use their fake names, but some of it still use their real name though.
80's playgirl models: use their real name but it's hard to find beacuse they leave social media , and most of them in their sixty, or more, and probably dead.
70's playgirls models : dead.
20's playgirl models : nah they are just onlyfans stars.

Well he was 26 in 1976, so it is very possible he is still alive, but he could have died too. It sucks because I can't find ANYTHING on him. He said he was born in Rome to Brazilian parents. "My father was a Brazilian diplomat to Italy." But with that info, I found nothing on his real identity. Hopefully he did more nudes somewhere else.
 
I've really loving this thread.

I have my own story to share... like a lot of guys, I'd always fantasized about appearing in Playgirl, though I was nowhere in the league of their centerfolds. But one day a buddy at the gym who was a photographer was saying he'd always wanted to submit photos to Playgirl as a photographer. I told him about my interest and he suggested we submit something to the "Real Men" section. We sent in a few photos and they picked a couple to publish. OK, so it was just the Real Men section, but hey I'd made it into Playgirl! This was in 2003.

Below is a photo from the 2003 publication, and a current one twenty years later - now a bearded daddy. :p
