Aaack. Blackdogue.net is no more.

"Sorry folks... I had to take the site down.

I received a cease and desist notice from Playgirl as part of their launch of PlaygirlPlus.

It's the end of an era. You can find an official archive and, to my surprise, new content at PlaygirlPlus.com.

Thanks for all the love. Hope you all find other ways to revisit your memories.

R.I.P. blackdogue.net 9/28/23 11:26pm"
It is a real pity!!!
Blackdogue's site was fantastic and, frankly, I don't think his site could affect so greatly the new PlaygirlPlus site, specially if you take into account that, at least in my opinion, new subscribers will subscribe to PlaygirlPlus because of the new material, not because of the archive. But well, that's the way it is.
I don't know if Blackdogue is in this forum, but if he is, I'd like to greatly thank him for his excellent site...

Literally 82 people will subscribe to playgirlplus ever.

YEAP HE'S SO SUCCESSFUL IT'S IN THE NEWS TOO ï remember it pop up on yahoo (?) BACK THEN ^^

"....Wolfson received his horse-training license when he was 18 years old, and began training with a few of his father's horses at Calder Race Course in Miami Gardens.[1]

Based at Calder Race Course in Miami Gardens, Florida, where he is a Calder Hall of Fame inductee, Marty Wolfson has conditioned horses for his late father as well as the prominent horsepersons such as Mike Pegram, Charlotte Weber, and Edmund Gann, as well as John Franks and Fred Hooper.

In 2006, Wolfson earned the most important win of his career when Miesque's Approval captured the Breeders' Cup Mile.

Wolfson earned over $53.6 million in purses during the course of his career. He realized 1,682 wins from 9,059 starts. His best year was 2009 in which he won 67 races of 275 starts, earning $4.2 million.[1] In 2015 his career started to fail, with only 29 of 197 starts winners, and 2016 was even worse, only winning 13% of his starts.....

I'm beginning to wonder if I want to see the pictures of the guys now. While I appreciate aging and am definitely attracted to older men, it does emphasize a few things:

I wish there had been more older men held up as paragons of beauty in Playgirl originally.

Beauty (by mainstream standards) can be fleeting.

Playgirl still did massive amounts of body makeup and photo retouching.

Some of the guys may not have done the healthiest things to look as they did, such as tanning, steroids or their ilk and extreme diets.

Some of them may not really like the idea of someone tracking them down and showing their current appearance. They may regret not having used a different name when modeling.

Many of the men are dead now.

The readership of Playgirl back then was most likely over 50% men, despite what the magazine portrayed. I remember reading a readership survey Playgirl itself put in an issue and it said 11% of the readers were male. Maybe that is true as far as those who answered the survey but not reality of actual readership. Still if made me feel less alone at the time, though reinforced the entire "1 out of 10 are gay" idea which really doesn't make much sense in that context.

I think too much about Playgirl and it doesn't deserve it.

I love the way you thinking, when you said " Some of them may not really like the idea of someone tracking them down and showing their current appearance. They may regret not having used a different name when modeling" I feel some kid of conflict with that so, if I track someone , and they are not in the best condition that he used to be, I just keep it to myself. some of them going brooke, some of them get amputated, and even suicide or hard life. but hey...in this page I just want to share some of the memory of playgirl magazine and for some of the viewer feel so happy to see what's up with their idol.

cheer.

I'm respectfully going to unwatch this thread. I don't really want to see behind the curtain unless it's someone who had modeled specifically choosing to talk about it in a direct interview or on their own platform.

Cool thread. Ever consider doing the same in another thread for the men of Men Magazine?
It's possible but it will have some difficulty to find, one of them is , most of the performers use different name. , second , they mostly gayporns actor, and we know most gayporns actor shut social media after the career. Mostly yeahh it's harder.
