Who Finds Men Attractive But The Sex Is Not Fulfilling

I'm a 55 year old guy who has had a few sexual encounters with men. These men were guys l found very attractive; they fit the mold and where definitely my "type". However, in none of these encounters did I experience the euphoric feelings I have with women. This shouldn't be a big surprise as I surmise I'm just not wired for it OR I haven't found the right one yet. Anyone out there in a similar situation?

The few times I’ve had sex with men have been hookups. I think that plays a role in the dissatisfaction I’ve had. I’ve never had a boyfriend and never had the intimacy of a relationship with a man. For me, that’s the difference. Having trust in the person I’m having sex with, brings about that euphoria you describe. Also, a willingness to learn each other sexually, helps. The couple times I’ve had good hookups, it was with someone who was willing to explore a bit.

It's definitely more difficult for me to feel the same excitement when I'm with another guy. I mean, every time I've had sex with girls, I've felt those "euphoric feelings" that OP refers to. Even with the worst one, it still felt pretty amazing emotionally and physically

With boys? I've felt something like that same spark with a couple of them (including my only-ever boyfriend). Most of the time it's just....mild fun. Like, sure, there's the thrill of getting our clothes off and cumming together, but there isn't much underlying passion

I stay away from hookups for that reason; the better you know a person the greater the intimacy. Though if I had the balls and proper radar I wouldn't mind hitting on strangers more often . Thanks for sharing.

I have always believed the better you know the person or more comfortable you are around them, the better the intimacy is hopefully.
