Beyond the not wanting to get into politics or whatever, I'd imagine lots of straight bodybuilders who are interested in women soley, subconsciously know that open allyship often will imply to others that individual is on some level a part of the LGBT community. Straight women can easily show open allyship because an implication of lesbianism or bisexuality does little to deter male attention, while for men an implication of gayness or bisexuality tends to curtail a lot of female sexual attention(even if the social appreciation is there). I've heard many women express their opinion that bodybuilding in of itself is a homoerotic thing for men to engage upon, and I don't think they make up the major demographic of how a lot of these guys make their living, so I think the silence is the uncomfortable tightrope between appreciation of their primary consumers and not wanting to alienate sexual or relationship opportunities.

First of all bodybuilding was created by a gay man second of all both of male bodybuilders, including the so-called straight ones, have sex with other men in the closet. Trust me I seen these "straight" Male bodybuilders liking sexual pictures of gay men on Instagram. Homo sexuality is a part of bodybuilding. Most of these dudes be sleeping with men for money. Like one example, this girl expose her ex-boyfriend, who is a bodybuilder for sleeping with other men, and he was out here claiming that he was straight

I imagine that the mindset of most bodybuilders is pretty warped. They have this loathing of their own body image, viewing themselves as being puny or effeminate. They don't associate themselves with gay people as they have such an insecure view of themselves

Yikes. I have a couple of straight friends who are or were bodybuilders, and they aren’t prostitutes and they seem well adjusted. They have families/children, and as far as I know, they do not have sex with men. These are people I know IRL and not just Instagram influencers, etc

I knew some so-called straight bodybuilders who got exposed for sleeping with men behind their wife back you can go on a literal thread on here and you see a bunch of diesel can’t straight bodybuilders being exposed. That’s why they closed it down.

Which should further illustrate what I'm saying. Can't be exposed unless there is a consequence at play. My entire premise was built upon the acknowledgment that men in this particular instance bear a socioeconomic price for open allyship with LGBT issues that few others do. In parallel to the racial example, a lot of white public apathy to black issues did not match up with their personal feelings or beliefs, but fulfilled self preservative functions. You're average white Joe might have had black friends acquaintances and coworkers, had no ill will towards them or their families, but knew that showing up for them publicly on the low end could ruin their home investment(and families future), or on the high end have a flaming cross on their lawn.
You cannot take your feelings of futility in a social construct, and convert them into disdain for those attempting to mitigate the consequences of said construct in their own lives.

These men in that thread are not gay. Not even closeted gay men. They are straight. They are possibly sexually fluid at least. Muscular men are often sexually fluid. They knows that both men and women find them hot. So they knows that they can easily have both in their bed. Having sex with both makes them feel more powerful sexually. So it boost their ego. Most bodybuilders and fitness men have some sexual desires for men. But most wont admit it. Why do you think so many bodybuilders go in Dubai and do sexual things with rich gay men ? Its because they already have the gay fantasies inside of them. Real 100% straight men would never have sex with men. Even for a lot of money. If homophobia would not exist, bisexuality would be the norm.

Bodybuilders fullfill their gay sex fantasies with prostitution. Just like gay for pay men in gay porn who would never allow themselves to have sex with men outside of gay porn. So for them, gay porn is the way to have sex with men and still feel straight in the end. Otherwise, if they would have sex with men outside of gay porn, they would feel more bisexual. Straight bodybuilders should show more support because they are somehow involved with gay men. Because of prostitution. I watched a video on youtube and this bodybuilder said that more than 70% of competitive bodybuilders are prostitutes. When you see straight bodybuilders posting instagram pictures of themselves in Dubai, you know why. The point is, straight bodybuilders have a lot of money because of gay men. The fact that they totally overlook gay pride is insulting. Its shows that they dont give a fuck. They really dont care. Because they are not concern with it. They are straight. Therefore they dont deal with homophobia. They should show their support. Especially when rich gay men pays them hundreds of thousands of dollars just to be naked, worshiped, putting oil on their body and jerk off. These straight bodybuilders makes tons of money for making the strict minimum. Most of them dont even have sex with men. These straight bodybuilders somehow ends up very comfortable financially anyway. Because of gay men. So the least they could do is to show support and wish happy pride. It might sound entitled. But its justified.

These straight bodybuilders might not all be homophobic. But some of them definitely are. They come off as ungrateful. They just care about gay men when money is involved. But they dont care about the homophobia that gay men goes through. These bodybuilders are self serving and egoistical. Without gay men, these straight bodybuilders would be smaller and they would not be as popular. They would not have a lot of money. So, they would way less participate in Mr Olympia. So they owe gay men respect. Wishing happy pride is showing that they care and that they wants change for the better for LGBT people. But the vast majority of straight bodybuilders remains silent. Their silence speaks volume. Why gay men should support these straight bodybuilders if they dont support gay men ? Just because they are hot ? They are not on the side of gay men .

well i agree with who thinks that bodybuilders are totally insane and totally fascists and omophobic, they are always nude but they are always ashamed of being nude even for a totally innocent shooting or for being involved not for free in a fashion campaign, nudity is part of their life cause they work hard in gym just for looking great naked (have you seen the movie called PERFECT featuring jamie lee curtis and john travolta...?) , that's the only purpose of the whole thing. I mean, bodybuilders are obsessed with omosexuality cause as Mapplethorpe himself thoughts, they are mostly gay and camp. Muscles obession is not a straigh stuff, just gays matter about being perfects. So pls think about the poor Bob paris whose career has been totally ruined because his coming out in july 1989....his story is the living proof of how insane and not all inclusive is the bodybuilding scene, now more than ever.....ask a bodybuilders to state something nice about lgbt rights and pls check his answers......yes athletes should be grateful for gays cause they live and make business because of gays consensus....pls don't be hipocrite about inner bodybuilders homosexuality. It depends on what you think that means. If you see some wrong being done an act of racism or homophobia even if you see a woman being harassed by a man you should speak up because being silent in those moments is being complicit. To me it does not mean making social media post and public displays of pride and blm or whatever such things. Do you wish Muslims a happy ramamdan? Of course not but if you see one being discriminated against you speak up. This bend the knee attitude a lot of you have is a large part of why you lose support.
