Okay but if they make alot of their money from gay men they should be more gay friendly and be more mindful of gay advocacy. There was a whole discussion years ago within the black community about rap music playing at venues outside of the black community but a significant portion of people who were buying their music were white teenagers so the point was made that they needed to be mindful of who their fans were. Yeah women like men and many of them may not be gay but it’s gay men that make up a significant part of their fan base and they can probably be pro-pride in June. And women who are married to bodybuilders, aren’t married to them for all the money they are taking in from gay prostitution—they are actually sexually attracted to them! Unbelievable, I know. We are living in the real Twilight Zone, people.
I watched Arnold and it seems to contradict what you said. If these guys are business people then they actually do seek out their fan base and anything that has to do with male physical appearance is 99.9% gay consumers. I doubt that anyone is messing with men unless they are gay but I think many of them push their boundaries because they have to make money, which you can’t bring in a gym 6 hours plus everyday and these men seem to be narcissistic.Goodness me, but this thread is much ado about nothing.
Other than to tell me that a few Members have NO clue about the sport of bodybuilding.
Having been involved in the sport since 1996, so much of what I'm reading here is simply unfounded conjecture.
Taking a small number of examples of certain behaviors and then seeking to extrapolate it to the population at large. That's not evidence. That's simply one's opinion or conjecture. Wishful thinking.
And most of what I'm reading here is not steeped in the reality of the sport.
The majority of bodybuilders I know don't give two shits about who their fan base is. Male, female, whatever. There are many who have no issues with who others choose to love; they just find no need to be public about it.
Fact: the majority of bodybuilders are, gasp...straight. No interest in another man. At any price.
That's not to say that some BB's don't make money from those who wish to pay them for their services. Whether for pictures or private posing sessions, or even more.
But to try and make the actions of that minority apply across the board? Hard fail.
The fitness/body building industry is based on narcissism. It's all about working out to make yourself more attractive. Look better. Improve your self-worth. And for some, to show off at shows and events.I watched Arnold and it seems to contradict what you said. is not true. I've been to many BB shows. Fans of the sport are from all walks of life. Gay, straight and everything in between. There are rabid fans, and those on the periphery. But no, the majority of the fan base is NOT 99.9% gay consumers. If these guys are business people then they actually do seek out their fan base and anything that has to do with male physical appearance is 99.9% gay consumers.
I dunno, the majority of play girl, OF, male Instagram influencer subs are gay men. Women and straight men have historically been the minority viewers for male nudity so I dunno why this would change with male body building. Women are obviously sexually attracted to men like gay men are but I’m not sure the majority of women appreciate the male body in the sameThe fitness/body building industry is based on narcissism. TV shows/documentaries somehow seem to capture the salacious. What will get viewers to tune in. Again, as someone who's been intimately involved in the sport since 1996, what you witnessed there is the exception, rather than the rule.
My experience in the sport tells me the majority of body builders are straight. Married and if they do dally with another, more often than not it's with a woman.
That's not to say that some BBs will not do what they need to do to make money. Some of the elite have product sponsors, and they make a nice living touting said products in advertisements and in person at BB shows. Others may resort to posing for $$$ or even escorting. With both men and women. They are not the norm.
To state emphatically:
is not true. I've been to many BB shows. Fans of the sport are from all walks of life. Gay, straight and everything in between. There are rabid fans, and those on the periphery. But no, the majority of the fan base is NOT 99.9% gay consumers.
BB is NOT about male nudity. I've never seen a legit nude BB show. They wear little posing suits to cover their nether regions to allow focus on their muscles they've worked so hard to build. The focus is not their genitals.I dunno, the majority of play girl, OF, male Instagram influencer subs are gay men. Women and straight men have historically been the minority viewers for male nudity
Thanks for your candid admission that you don't know. Refreshing.so I dunno why this would change with male body building.
And I assure you the majority of women and gay men I know are not sexually attracted to BBs. Doesn't mean though that we don't/can't appreciate/admire someone who is committed to the sport.Women are obviously sexually attracted to men like gay men are but I’m not sure the majority of women appreciate the male body in the same
I won't dispute this as I've not seen the documentary or read up about it.There’s a documentary about the history of playgirl where the editors said that women never were overly attracted to purchasing subscriptions to see naked men and it was known the majority of customers of the magazine were gay men. They kept the façade so the male models would agree to be photographed and in the later years as people knew it was over 90% gay viewers the male Models were mostly gay men and gay porn stars because straight men refused to be photographed.
$30k to be gangbanged by other bodybuilders? Where is this price sheet coming from. Is this like the secret Menu at Starbucks?I wonder how many bodybuilders have sex with men. Its hard to believe that these rich gay men would accept to pay these men one or two hundreds thousands dollars just for the strict minimum. Unless that these gay men are very desperate to see these men naked. If it was me, i would want to have sex with them. I would also want to see these bodybuilders fuck each other. You want the money ? You better work hard for it. Pun obviously intended. So you will be expected to suck cocks and fuck men at least. You can also swallow sperm for extra money and even more extra money if you get fucked.
Extra money
5000$ if you swallow the sperm of one man.
10.000$ if you swallow the sperm of many men.
20.000$ if you get fucked by a man.
30.000$ if you get gang banged by many bodybuilders.
Business is business. Gay sex is gay sex. You better deliver or go back were you come from. Thats how a gay man shows who wears the expansive pants. My way or no way.
But only putting oil on your body, be naked, talk dirty and make a gay man your bitch is not worth of two hundreds thousands dollars. That worths 500 dollars. Its easy for bodybuilders to get naked. So being nude is not enough. At that high price, gay sex should be mandatory. Period. Fuck toxic masculinity. You wont become less masculine for showing support to LGBT people. Gay men supported you for a long time. Now its your turn to give. Bodybuilding is the gayest sport in the world. Theres nothing homoerotic about figure skating. Bodybuilding on the other hand...
I think if I was a straight body builder I wouldn't either... Bodybuilders may have lots of gay fans but they don't do bodybuilding to get sexualised by gay people. The programmes/workouts they sell aren't being bought by their gay fans lusting over them. Also, i'm sure a lot of times they're made to feel uncomfortable. Gay people tend to be unhinged when it comes to commenting on people who they think are attractive. It's not "oh you're really handsome" or "your physique is insane" it's things like "yep he's a top", "i bet his gun's pink", "i'm thinking 8 inches". And, based off the comments in here people are also suggesting that most of them are gay. Why would someone want to support a community where all they receive from them is sexualisation and constant questions about their sexuality. To then suggest they're homophobic because they're not grateful for men lusting after them in their comments is strange. It's kind of like saying; Tom Holland is homophobic because he doesn't say happy pride, even though his instagram gay fans support him by commenting "I want to suck your cock".Why straight bodybuilders never wish happy pride ? They never talks about anything gay. Which is ironic, since gay men are the ones who follows them the most on instagram. Also, those rich gay men in Dubai takes care of them financially. Its nice to feel supported. Especially coming from the most homoerotic sport in the world. I never seen one single happy pride post from a straight bodybuilder. You most likely never saw it either. It says a lot. You would expect more gratefullness from them. But no. They have nothing for gay men. Not even a i wish you all a happy pride month. They just ignore gay men and they just dont care about anything LBGT. Dont you find it dodgy ? The point is, gay men supports straight bodybuilders. But straight bodybuilders dont supports gay men. I have a feeling that many straight bodybuilders are conservatives. Especially the american ones. I suspect the european ones to be more open to LGBT people. Is homophobia that common in bodybuilding?
When did I say all gay men or the majority as a matter of fact? I said gay men are the primary audience more than women and if you think gay men are admiring oiled up men with muscles in a banana hammock because of all the hard years of work and dedication they committed to BB-well I’ll let you believe that …no shade but if I walked into a gay bar right now, I doubt more than a couple of guys would be able to name on judge on the Supreme Court. BB is NOT about male nudity. I've never seen a legit nude BB show. They wear little posing suits to cover their nether regions to allow focus on their muscles they've worked so hard to build. The focus is not their genitals.

I do know; the majority of male BBs are straight as well as are their fans. And please remember that women also compete in BB competitions. It's not unusual to see a male/female couple both compete in shows. One might do the BB show and the other might compete in the fitness category. But BB is not a predominately gay sport. Not those who participate nor those who follow the sport.
And I assure you the majority of women and gay men I know are not sexually attracted to BBs. Doesn't mean though that we don't/can't appreciate/admire someone who is committed to the sport.
I'm not attracted to a man simply because he has muscles. What I do admire and appreciate is years of hard work and dedication (as I've done it myself). It's not easy. To be successful, it really does become your lifestyle. Lift, eat, sleep. And if you have a real job, you have do work around that. Then when it's time to get ready for a show, the diet starts. Food intake changes. Cardio sessions become once if not more per day. It's a lot of work and dedication to stay on track.
That's why for every 100 or so wannabe BBs, maybe 1 or 2 will make it to the "big time" and make their living from the sport.
I won't dispute this as I've not seen the documentary or read up about it.
All I know is that this really is off topic to your claims that the majority of/all gay men are attracted to BBs.
We're not.

I don't need someone without first-hand experience to let me believe something I know to be a fact from my participation in the sport and attendance at many BB shows. I know who was in the audience. And it was not predominately gay men!I said gay men are the primary audience more than women and if you think gay men are admiring oiled up men with muscles in a banana hammock because of all the hard years of work and dedication they committed to BB-well I’ll let you believe that
