Part of the look was that the actor had just spent years playing a totally different character on the same show and this was the first time we were seeing him as the new character. I'm sure they told Zach Tinker to play up that angle a bit, since the audience may have been confused and wondering why 'Ben' was back and shirtless in the Kiriakis living room.

It seems like, in the lead up to moving to Peacock, the showrunners are wanting to bring in a younger audience. They brought back Robert Scott Wilson without the ball and chain named Ciara, gave him a new character and ditched the black boxer briefs that daytime soaps seem to stock these days.
And apparently, the Kiriakis men don't have a gym in their mansion, so they must do bicep curls and yoga in their living room.
It does seem that DOOL thinks that gay people are so 2000. Polyamory and sexual fluidity is the new gay.
And with Zach Tinker and Chandler Massey not on contract status, I guess we won't be seeing much of Zach shirtless, at least in the short term.
Which is a shame, since having Leo Starke around, but no Will and Sonny to torture seems a waste.
