This is still a leap in logic. My parents have never supported me in college because I don't need the support. Same could be for him. We don't know we aren't his friend. Its super parasocial. It's okay if your friend didn't wish you a happy birthday. It doesn't mean they don't care about you. Maybe they're just busy or forgot. If they're fighting, they'll figure it out.
