Carl Nassib—first Out Active Nfl Player

Even more of that today. (Edit: I see I missed the caption in my screenshot; it's a new gig, though likely not full time or anything.) Does this mean his NFL career is likely over? They just had the draft, right? So wouldn't he know if he was picked up? I'm kind of a stereotypical gay when it comes to not knowing much about sports. I'm better than I used to be though!

He's such a big dude:

The truth is, most NFL contracts don't offer much guaranteed money. Plus, NFL careers don't last more than a few years, also, there's the ever present threat of injury. So, he's just maximizing his money.

correct. And the NHL even more so. Most people have an assumption that pro athletes are rolling in cash. This isn’t always the case. Have a close connection that is a pro athlete and with tax, escrow, agents fees, trainers, etc. a good 55%~60% of salary is gone right there.

I wish we could clone him. We'd probably solve homophobia forever with five more Carls.

(That's hyperbolic but not meant to be sarcastic, for the record. He's showing the people who need to be reached what they need to know. Just wish others in his position had his courage.)
