Probably gave blood or plasma based on where they are located. Most boosters and vaccinations are given in the upper arm.Interesting to see candid photos of those two. What's with the two band-aids? Covid vaccine booster shots?

Boosters are given in the upper arm. I guess blood work for a marriage license.Interesting to see candid photos of those two. What's with the two band-aids? Covid vaccine booster shots?
Probably even a better guess than mine.Probably gave blood or plasma based on where they are located. Most boosters and vaccinations are given in the upper arm.
Well, you prompted me to look that up. Apparently it was to prevent spread of STDs. Anyway, no one does that anymore.I don't think bloodwork is required almost anywhere anymore for a marriage license. (It certainly wasn't when I got gay-married in 2015.) And wasn't that just about procreation? I never really understood the point.
Interesting. Last I heard some states still required them, but I don't keep up with it, so I guess that's a good thing that they've been done away with.Well, you prompted me to look that up. Apparently it was to prevent spread of STDs. Anyway, no one does that anymore.
Why Did States Require Blood Tests for Marriage Licenses for So Long?
It's a 3 month ban before you are eligible to donate, but that isn't to say that they were truthful about it. They could have also just done a blood test for HIV or had some sort of other blood work done for health reasons. That is really fascinating. Getting a blood test before marriage is sometimes mentioned in mid-century media (The Graduate comes to mind), but I never understood the point of it nor that it only went back as a concept to the 1930s.
I'd say these two gave blood (everyone is right about the booster location not being in that part of the arm), but that's banned too if you have M4M sex.
I think it was one of those things that was done for so many decades that no one questioned the ridiculousness of the practice.I don't think bloodwork is required almost anywhere anymore for a marriage license. He may have come out but those board shorts are still in the closet.
