Mexico might not be spain or the netherlands. But mexico is not iran or russia either. Mexico is quite progressive with homosexuality. When it comes to homosexuality,mexico is one of the most progressive hispanic country. Mostly since the 2000s. Mexico have same sex marriages. Their gay pride parades goes without problems. Most mexicans are open with homosexuality. Machismo is not as common anymore in mexico. Countries from the middle east are way worst and they are the ones who have machismo the most. They are obssesed with masculinity very hardcore there. Unlike in most hispanic countries from south america,machismo is not as out of control. Its not perfect. But its stable. Its gets better.
