Do Bisexual men actually settle down with men?

Damn.

So today a guy I've been talking to from Scotland gave me the I'm bisexual not biromantic line. I appreciated him being upfront about it (and actually knowing the difference between the two), but damn it still sucked for a bit. Rationally I knew he did the sensible thing, but dem burgeoning feelings....

Anyway, I remembered this thread and you guys. <3
This is what I've been saying that y'all wanna off my head for

No. That is not what you've been saying. The Scottish guy in my post is not the villain in this story. We've been talking for months, and we're still attracted to one another, but we want different things from this interaction. We're both in our 30s, so we both know very clearly what we want. He can't be a potential romantic partner and I won't allow myself to be a fuck buddy only. We talk it out.

Welcome to adulthood.

@mitchellk

I've had some bisexual experience, and there is certainly a type of female that consistently attracts me. But yeah I can't see myself falling in love with a woman like I can with a man.

Maybe I lack imagination? Or maybe I just never met the right woman.

Men are also so damn wonderful, it's hard not to want to be with them <3

LMAO what?? You've literally been saying the complete opposite, that bi men are never upfront about not wanting a relationship with men.

I actually said bi men like your Scottish friend should be upfront is they are romantically attracted to men

No, you said they were never upfront about it:

And again, if bi men are upfront about being in it only for the sex, you catching felings sounds like a you problem
That right there is the problem, they never do. Some bi men keep gay as a "placeholder" in a relationship till they are financially stable to have that heteronormative picket fence life. Thankfully, gay men are waking up from their slumber and realizing we are only a booty call for most of them

Yeah basically if they divorced from a woman and kids are older.
Yes, that is a likely situation in which they might find themselves. It is at such a time in their lives that the idea of committing themselves emotionally to other men would no longer produce the same fears that it would have during the overwhelming confusion of their youth.

Exactly

This isn’t fair to the women they used and divorced. These women have given up all their prime years to be dumped because closeted bi men were too scared to live their truth. Now that they’re old they want to settle down with a man. Gay men should not reward these bad behaviours. Let them go settle down with each other when they’re old.

How is this any different to a man leaving a woman for another woman?

There is no special punishment for bi men who leave their wives for men, anymore than there is for leaving a woman.

The statement at the end "Gay men should..." - You are talking about 10s of millions potentially hundreds of millions of people. Nobody "should" do anything like this.

Yeah, because never in history has a closeted gay man married a woman.

And women never leave men...

No, I see you pretending it's exclusively a bi men thing.
When and where did I imply that only bi men leave their spouses? The big difference that y’all bisexuals fail to understand is the deception and it’s not equally the same as leaving for another heterosexual. A bi man using a woman until she’s old then dumping her for a man hurts a lot more is very damaging to women. Just like when a bi men dump a gay man for a woman it’s hurts more and is damaging to the mental health of gay men.

Anyway, I’m over this thread. Seems it’s already dead because of the censorship. I won’t be the one to give it life.

Everything is bisexual men's fault. They are of the devil ya know!! The poor gays and the poor women, if they only dated gay men and str8 men respectively, they would have almost no relationship problems I'm sure...

They would not have to worry about potentially getting dumped, since at least they would be dumped for someone of the same sex or something?
