That’s funny, it sounds like we’re the exact same age, but I still think I discovered Fratpad in 2009 at 12 years old, and I've been fascinated ever since. I had no idea that it was running at the time, either—for some reason it’s always seemed like something old and done for. I remember seeing Fratpad Fridays from 2014 floating around the internet in 2015 and feeling so weird seeing that house all remodeled and filled with Fratmen I’d never seen before. Somewhat poetically for me, Fratpad officially ended right when I had started college, finally college-aged myself.
It wasn’t until a bit over two years ago I think that I decided I needed to learn everything I could possibly learn about Fratpad, and now I have thousands of pages of notes. I joke to my friends now that I’m the world’s leading Fratpad historian, since none of my knowledge is firsthand. In general it seems like the voyeur cam house was such a unique artifact of the turn of the century, and I’ve fallen in love with this whole era of the adult industry. I’ve been hearing the word “cyberspace” more than I ever have before, and I found a clip recently of Fratmen Leo and Spencer accepting an award from Chi Chi Larue in front of Johnny Hazard and Blake Riley, and I can’t explain it, but it made my heart so happy lol.
So if anyone was a member of the Fratpad while it was running or just wants to chat about it, please feel free to reach out. I truly can't explain how I've worked it all up so much in my heart, but I'm bizarrely passionate about it. And thank you to everyone who’s shared anecdotes, archives, and memories here in these threads! It’s amazing that this one has been running for over ten years now.
Anyway, here's a goofy tribute video I made at some point in iMovie. Yes, it was a nightmare to make. Might as well throw that in to this overlong post. It's all vibes and no penis, so you've been warned.
