Froy (teen wolf)

Froy is becoming boring :/ I used to think it was closet case Richard’s paranoia holding Froy back and making Froy invisible to his fan base on social media but that doesn’t seem to have been the case.

In some way Richard was to blame for Froy being like that now, because before, Froy was not like that. He used to share absolutely everything he did in his life, his food, where he went, and stuff like that, but I don't know, maybe Richard got ideas into him and well, there's also the fact that when his nudes were leaked, Froy deleted his twitter and tumblr accounts. I, too, hate that he has become so fucking private and doesn't share with his fans absolutely nothing about his life. Last year, Zane was very open sharing things about him and Froy on his Instagram, but now, apparently, Froy has asked him not to share things about their relationship anymore. It's really annoying.

Maybe it's because, and this may come as a shock to some of y'all, we are not entitled to his personal life and what he decides to share or not share on social media. He's also older and more mature now, he more than likely doesn't feel the need to overshare his life.

There's a difference between oversharing...and barely sharing anything.

We've said it here for years - most here are actually not saying "give us everything about your personal life". It's just natural to want to see your favorite star a little more than a few times a year. And, social media is how he built his fanbase, and he did a brilliant job at it. No, he's not obligated to do anything he doesn't want to do, but keeping a reasonable public presence and connection with your fans is simply good business (and a reflection of good representation), especially these days (and esp. between projects). It wouldn't exactly be a bad thing to find that balance...and I doubt anyone here would be complaining if he did. For example, more photoshoots, more interviews, and attending of events.

That said, we're all very aware he's grown up, changed his stance on things like social media, and I'd think most of us here respect that, especially in regards to his mental health.

But yes, as a fan, I'm not going to lie that it would be nice to see him just a little bit more. 🤷‍♂️

I get that perspective. And that's perfectly fair.

It doesn't bother me personally since I think social media is very toxic anyway and generates too strong of a parasocial relationship to public figures, in a subtle way. So I don't mind some celebs like Froy that don't want to over rely on social media.

But I say this knowing it's a VERY unpopular opinion... and I am not criticising anyone that wants more of him. That's reasonable for a fan.
