Not to be the negative one here... but this comment is not 100% realistic.
The examples you mentioned are niche and not really what you will consider mainstream.
Take this from someone who used to work behind the scenes... The entertainment industry is full of bigots and lies especially from higher ups. It's also ALL about the money and s*x (YES! S*X will always sell!).
True, a lot of pornstars are getting more work but it's not as better as before. Only a few handful of productions will allow it OR wouldn't care about their background, and most of these productions are all about face value (you have to look good only) to rake in more viewers (yes! they are banking on thirst traps!).
NO MAINSTREAM PRODUCTION WILL EVER HIRE PEOPLE WITH ADULT CONTENT LEAKED/SHOWN IN PUBLIC!
Why? Again, it's all about the money. The number of bigots and audiences with double standards ARE FAR LARGER than what you think. Do you really think these big production companies would want to lose them?
So, in order to err more on the financial side, they make sure (and in the contracts) that none of the cast (both supporting behind the scenes and in front) would have any background in any s** oriented video unless the production is all about s*x and is targeting audiences with thirst traps.
