in fact his gf has given birth to a girl, who'd have been 1 year old by now.
His next film, The Beast, is set to premiere in Toronto Film Festival in September. Both the director, Bertrand Bonello and his co-star Lea Seydoux aren't shy of nudity. So we can hope.

Do we think that The Beast is likely to be under a SAG contract? Given all the European talent invovled, I would assume that MacKay would likely be acting under an a contract with Equity (the U.K. acting union).
if he has ever appeared in an American production then he is a SAG member. No SAG member is allowed to promote a film unless they are give a waiver. Even if he wasn't a SAG member it would be very bad for optics for him to go to the premiere/film promotion while a strike is happening
