Kit Connor

lol, there is nothing that I can say here that won't get deleted for some reason or another. Lets try this again:

*neutral expression, eyes forward* Kit Connor, adult male of 20 years (birthdate March 8, 2004) is considered to be conventionally attractive by many people, be they male, female or of indeterminate gender. End communication.

He's allegedly a very talented actor on a television show or something, but I seem to have developed amnesia in the middle of typing that sentence. Weird.

Question: As Romeo and Juliet stuff happens (videos, pictures, press, on-stage pics), are we allowed to discuss that? Technically romeo in the show is underage, so putting it out there now before we get this locked again if its against the rules.
Comments have been being deleted but it's not exactly clear yet. If a mod could clarify that would be great. I think we can discuss it though surely?

We can discuss kit as an actor, stuff from behind the scenes, but nothing actually pertaining to romeo. It's the same rules as heartstopper

I think we'd rather hear from a moderator about this. The "same rules" are unevenly applied across this forum.

LPSG Rules

CONTENT:

You will not post, upload, or share Content that:
  • Depicts any person under eighteen (18) years old, regardless of how innocent the depiction may be.
  • Discusses minors, regardless of how innocent the discussion may be.
the rules are there. whether they're enforced or not is a different matter. yeah, the rules aren't evenly applied, but that also has to do with the report system. the mods aren't looking at every thread like a hawk hunting its prey. they rely on reports to take action. if no one reports it, they don't take action. that's why you'll see posts about tom holland as spiderman filling up his thread without them being taken down, but posts about kit as nick do.

LPSG Moderator here! Here's the tea about underage content:

Romeo and Juliet is a Shakespeare play with two main characters who are underage.

We would appreciate no discussion about that as LPSG has a Zero tolerance for any underage content. https://www.lpsg.com/threads/important-reminder-we-have-zero-tolerance-for-underage-content.4848471/

Which includes discussion about of age actors playing underage characters.

Which is the case with the upcoming Romeo and Juliet Broadway play that Mr. Connor is expected to star in.

He's right; LPSG is Report-based. We rely on Members who see this type of content to Report it so we can review and take appropriate action.

Thanks in advance for everyone's understanding. These rules and policies about NO underage content or discussion are to protect both the site and its Members. :)

Alright all clear!! No Romeo and Juliet, at least not the characters discussed.

This clarity is appreciated (when it is applied forum-wide, which it's not for every celebrity equally) but it should be pointed out that my own post of the announcement and press pix are still up. So is Kit's announcement video with Rachel Zegler. So the question now is: Are we still allowed to post pix of them BTS, clearly out of character for this show or doing promotion? Because none of that has been removed. And historically LPSG has always said it does not care about BTS/set pix so long as the actors are proven to be out of character.

From Timothée Chalamet thread.

This is the only thread I've seen that isnt allowed to post about a fictional underage character if the actor is an adult. what happens in other tv shows and movie threads??? Teen wolf, glee, prettylitleliars, elite...

it's not the only thread. it happened in the michael cimino thread during love victor. in the edvin thread as well during young royals.
like the mod said, they rely on reports. it means no one in those threads you mentioned are reporting stuff

It's best to just accept it at this stage. It won't change. The mods have made it clear what their rules are, we can still talk about Romeo and Juliet in the larger context but just not the characters.

They haven't made a lot clear tbh and the rules aren't exactly applied equally, so I hope they'll reply to my question on the last page re: BTS pic/video materials at least. Since none of that is gone.

LPSG is Report based. That means we rely on Members to Report content they believe may violate our Rules and Policies. Regarding the content you reference above, please go to that content and Report it. We'll review and take appropriate action. Thanks. :)

Yes. As long as it is clear the discussion and/or content is NOT related to any roles in which an actor who is over 18 may be portraying a character who is under 18.

See my first reply to you in this post. Thanks. :)

I get that this issue can be frustrating. We have to have this policy to protect both the site and its Members.

Rather than continue to discuss this here, please feel free to shoot me a PM if anyone has any more questions about the policy that regardless of how old an actor is, if he or she is portraying an underage character, discussion or content of such is not allowed.

Thanks!
B :)
