I stand corrected. But I can’t delete my original postHe follows the whole cast.
A second season could prove much more expensive to produce as the story takes the class to Paris on a school trip, which I'd love to see! And I'm glad the creator is fleshing out the side characters a lot more as well! The creator said she would develop the side characters and teachers while continuing the main story.
It's not low budget but it is not one of the most expensive shows to produce.
He is not legal in some of those picture. Fucking cute as heck in his interviews with facial hair.
Yeah this is a slam dunk show for Netflix to renew. They've already got the creator involved and the source material is written. Plus it's extremely popular and well received.Netflix can’t afford to piss off the LGBTQ community right now (look what happened to Disney w/ the protests); it’ll get renewed for a second season - three tops. He got a good role bagged to explore his acting abilities and snag a few awards.
How did you know he applied for the role of Charlie first? He actually applied for the role of Charlie first, so if Alice Oseman comes out and say "hey all our cast members have the exactly same sexual orientation as the characters they portrayed" I don't think he is gay or bi, probably that's why he never answered any questions regarding his sexual orientation, often jumped around it...it's quite a smart move from the PR team to be honest to avoid the backlash of straight actors playing LGBT characters
I mean Joe Locke and Yasmine Finney were both straight forward from the beginning with their sexual orientation and where they belong in the LGBT community...so if KIT were gay or bi he would be openly talking about it too. Like I said I'm 100% sure he is not gay also I saw the casting brochure, nothing about sexual orientation was on the requirements
Heartstopper's Kit Connor originally auditioned for Charlie – not NickHow did you know he applied for the role of Charlie first?
I wouldn’t be surprised considering all the “comedy” specials they’ve had with homophobic segments. They even featured ellen. Yuck.Netflix can’t afford to piss off the LGBTQ community right now (look what happened to Disney w/ the protests); it’ll get renewed for a second season - three tops. He got a good role bagged to explore his acting abilities and snag a few awards.

I believe that he is straight..Thats not a problem to me but I think he is avoiding talk about this cus people may hate him??Is he also Bi or Gay? I’m asking because I saw that Netflix was casting people who were parte of the LGBTQ community, but I think he has a girlfriend who posted some TikTok with him…
but anyway, such a cute show. Really worth watching.
I still think it's more cos it's a spoiler for the series.. if he's talking about being bi in all the interviews, there's no "is he, isn't he" tension for those who haven't watched the show yetI believe that he is straight..Thats not a problem to me but I think he is avoiding talk about this cus people may hate him??
Those are all great scenes. Please let's move away from the actors' sexuality topic. It's totally not our place to speculate who's gay who isn't.
Let's post pics of Kit or discuss about the show instead. Let me start: What are your top 10 favorite scenes? Since this thread is about Kit, I'm gonna start my list with Nick
I could list more but I only want to limit to 10 Too bad screenshots of the scenes are not allowed due to actors' age during the production. But these scenes are guaranteed tear-jerking for me.
- Nick's googling "am i gay?" (last 5 minutes of episode 102)
- Nick and Charlie share their first kiss (episode 103)
- Nick and Charlie at the beach (episode 108)
- Nick and Charlie kiss in the rain (episode 104)
- Nick's reluctance to hold Charlie's hand while he's at Charlie's place (episode 102)
- Nick quits the rugby game and goes find Charlie (episode 108)
- Nick sees Tara and Darcy kiss at Harry's party (episode 103)
- Nick and Charlie playing in the snow. (episode 102)
- Nick comes out as bisexual to his mom (episode 108)
- Nick begs Charlie to not break up with him then the pair kisses on the hallway on the sports day (episode 108)
It's not just Charlie's heart that skips a beat, mine too. The rainbow flare, the "Hi" moment. It brought me back to my junior high school day (which was a million years ago) when I had a huge crush on my straight friend. I was also in an all-boy high school...Those are all great scenes.
I also love the movie theater scene.
There’s just something about the way that Charlie looks at Nick from the moment he sees him class.
You can hear his heart skipping a beat each time.
