I don't know about Hollywood for Kit..He may get bit parts Here and there. Hollywood is NOT the British film industry. British actors are hit or miss. Some British people do great like Benedict and Tom Hiddleston.. But then there's also a lot of Game of thrones stars who tanked. Even Olivia Coleman has remained in mainly England. Even Nikolaj CW bought a house in La After Game of Thrones and tried to get work and it was really hard. And he's done Hollywood movies before.

And while Heart Stopper was big in many countries it was not big in the United States. It never even cracked the top 10 on Netflix here. Many people still don't even know who Kit Connor is.

I'm not saying it can't be done I'm just being realistic and understanding it's going to be really hard for him.
I would agree on this. I hope Kit stays here in UK so that he can do nudity freely in the future. Hollywood/USA don’t do that. At least here in UK we have more risque stuff. There’s a lot of cocks in the telly so far and hoping Kit does the same in the future

Take note what Hollywood did to Tom Holland. If only Tom flourished here in UK more, (and noting that Tom gives off a I-love-being-naked energy) he would have more risque stuff but as of now he’s stuck in superhero flicks.

Sorry when does Tom give off I love being naked energy? I’m so confused what world people on this website live in.

What impressed me about Kit at London Pride and the Joe Lycett's Big Pride Party Live/after party is how totally uninhibited he was. That cannot be easy for an introvert. Very professional.

What impressed me even more is that he wore the same brown belt at both events! Very down to earth.

it's a belt...
he might only have that one.
like, i only got like 3 belts, and one of them is ready to be thrown out

Actually HD did - Heartstopper spent 5 days in US Netflix top10. Is not much, but definitely made it.

When it comes to his career being tied to UK productions: is not a big deal - since 2009 at least 1 of the 5 most nominated productions in Oscars and Emmys were British.
I watch Netflix everyday and have checked stats and never seen it.

netflix top10 is total bs. it shows you whatever shows they want to push on you.
that's why jupiter's legacy was showing up as number 1 on the top 10 after its release, only for it to be cancelled almost immediately because no one was watching it.
the top 10 doesn't mean anything, it's basically just an ad

The show did get to top 10 in the US (#9 to be specific) but then flew out the week after. The top 10 is important but not the only factor in a show's renewal. Completion rate is VERY important for Netflix. How the show does in its local market - in this case, the UK, where Heartstopper got to #3 - is important. Whether people signed up to watch the show and whether they continued watching other shows is also important.

So a show can hit #1 or be in the top 5 and then not get renewed. If it stays there for a few weeks, it's very likely to get renewed. Heartstopper may not have been a strong top 5 show, but it kept enough engagement over the following weeks and drove enough sign-ups for Netflix to continue it.
