I don't wanna turn this into a fight thread so I'm just gonna leave the one comment, but gay actors already barely ever get to play straight characters. There are no A-list gay actors, and I think in recent years gay people have proved to be able to make people quite famous. I for one would've preferred an actual gay person got the career that Timothee Chalamet or Josh O'Connor is having because of the roles they played in a gay film. I respect your opinion, but I would just look at how many gay films have all straight casts and take that into account (Brokeback Mountain, CMBYN, Love Simon, Moonlight, God's Own Country and The Power of the Dog)

I also don't want to turn this thread into a debate on this stuff haha but there are definitely a fair few queer actors and actresses that play straight characters.
