I wonder if Nam Yoon Sung career can still recover, it seems...that it will be a really tough comeback unless he has a really good role because that situation will haunt him...
I think it depends on how severe the case they were in.

Looking at Yeon Seo Bin for example, he was accused of bullying when he was younger. His agency dropped him in the middle of the show, even though his former classmates and teachers defended him. He eventually was forced to apologize, and years later, although the rumor was proven to be incorrect, the damage has already been done.

Nam Yoon Sung's case was practically assault. He commited it as an adult, and was caught redhanded. Even if he genuinely regretted it and disappeared for a while through military service (like most other male celebrities would do), I personally doubt that the public would want to sympathize with his background. I'm actually more surprised that his current agency doesn't seem to have dropped him yet.

To My Star 2 not being on the list is a crime and Semantic Error is literally my personal top 2. What surprised me the most is Cutie Pie being first, but I guess it really comes down to preferences .
I don't know if it's just me, but I was reading that The Tuxedo was a hit in Japan based on Rakuten views, I watched it, and it feels so short, some acting are kinda stiff but omg, I am so into Chap, I heard he's like a pageant contestant before, anyway, I enjoyed that series, even if its a short one, I will rank it higher, and yes, To My Star 2, I think the second season is a huge improvement from the first season, everything came together in season 2, I love the slow scenes it made me really watch the entire season, and yeah, everything makes sense, there's just so much emotions there, To My Star 2 should be there as well, Semantic Error is interesting I though the series was done really well, it has the fast pace scenes and nice editing plus the leads are exceptionally handsome...I did not finish Cutie Pie, I think I will rewatch it again, I forgot the story ha ha...

Sometimes when you think about it, there are fans that has a habit of really digging in and looking at the actors past and history, and its kinda unfair because all of us has our own shortcomings and mistakes, and it shouldn't define the future as we change over time, we make mistake, we learn from it and we become a better and much experienced person...this actually reminds me of the KinnPorshe guy, I can't recall his name, he took a little break, and then he returned again, and fans really did not focused more on what he said or his past, the important thing really is that the actor had learned and had been a better person, everybody deserves second and third and more chances...

Not sure if this is a place to talk about this (the thread title is Korean BL Stars, so I guess it's fine), but Kim Ji Woong, the main actor who played in BL dramas "Kissable Lips" and "Roommates of Poongduck 304", is currently participating in an idol survival competition reality show called "Boys Planet" (to be aired on February 2023).

Here's his profile in said show (although this pic doesn't do him justice):

And here's a link to his video cam performing the show's main theme-song:

For those not familiar with the show, "Boys Planet" is the 2nd season of Kpop idol competition reality show from the "Planet" franchise, created by Mnet (a famous Korean music channel/company), where 99 idol trainees from different agencies or individuals, from South Korea & many other global countries, compete in securing the final top spots to debut in a temporary idol group that would usually last for 3 - 5 years. Viewers would have the chance to vote for their favorite contestants, so if you want to support Kim Ji Woong, you may have the opportunity later when it aired.

If you are familiar with "Produce 101" franchise, well, it's because this is basically the same but under a different name (the original "Produce 101" franchise director and team got caught for rigging the result and are now in jail). Surprisingly many "Produce 101" alumnis have starred in BL series. Kim Ji Woong's BL partner in both "Kissable Lips" and "Roommates of Poongduck 324" was Yoon Seo Bin, also a former contestant in "Produce x 101" (the 4th season of "Produce 101" franchise), although he was cut early on & forced to quit due to a past bullying scandal.

I did not know that they were both in kissable lips as well? Let alone either of them - very excited to start it .

Yes. The Tuxedo isn't exactly my favorite, but it was okay enough to fill my free time when it aired. And although I admit that Chap is very handsome, his acting needs improvement (whether his character is happy, angry or sad, he makes the same Kristen Stewart's face ).

I also just realized that the list has no Blueming, which is another crime in my book because it's my favorite Korean BL at the moment :joy:.

Cutie Pie, same, I honestly didn't like it at all. I literally fast forwarded some episodes because it's boring. But I guess to each their own.

oh yes...blueming! i forgot about that. there's another interesting one i think its called ocean likes me, the one who played the chef is very handsome. Ha ha ha...you are so right, Chap sometimes has that stewarts reaction ha ha..perfect abs though. i have to say though, the OST for cutie pie is quite nice, but yup, i think i remember it now the reason why i did not go the series is there's something boring about it...maybe their acting is very scripted like its always on cue.
